As you know, my last try at pixel art was a TOTAL FAIL, so with this one I have taken your advice into consideration, and with that, I
1) Spenttwo days working on this,
2) Was very careful about shading, not making to dark or too light ( from my observations), and
3) I took my time and had fun with it.
With that, here is the image as you can see features my avatar ( by coincidence..? lol) Preforming part of an episode of 'Dead Like Me'. If you have no clue what that is, you have Google and Bing. Ahem:

the hair is very nice but the rest uses colours that are quite garish or lacks detail.

Is that a monkey wrench she's holding?

The lips need more depth. One line isn't enough and makes her look like she has just put lipstick on her mouthless face.

Tone down the colours, add more detail to the face and poorly drawn parking meter (?) and, for future reference, shadows and things casting them don't require light outlines.

i don't really understand the picture, but i don't know what yr taking the picture from, so it just could be that.

i agree with kyle that it all looks a bit garish, the colours are a bit much and parts of it look very sloppy (like the bottom of the parking meter). maybe you should work on smaller and simpler scenes before building into more complicated things?

i agree with both bethie and kyle. the hair looks nice, although those colours are quite a bad choice. the side of the wall looks a little messy and doesn't look like much time has been spent on it! sorry, but i do have to agree with the other points they've made. :p

I agree about the colours, and the habbo looks kind've strange, really... flat :P I don't know if it's meant to be like that though :)

its not that your not good becuase you are i think you should just start with something abit simpler maybe and build from there?

Looks lovely but i think you should use a darker colour to draw the outline of the mouth to make it more visible if you know what i mean :P something like that i guess :P

You have much more talent than I do in pixel art! I am certain you will improve based on all the points made in this thread so I won't repeat them but I will say that I do think the hair is lovely!

I think the face needs a bit of work, the thing she's holding needs definition and also the colours of the wall etc need toning down. Walls aren't usually bright red etc..
