it depends on what like history yr doing, cause i know there's tonnes of different history gcse specs. but i found the book the most useful thing to revise from when i did history, this one in particular:

http://www.history.org.uk/library/1001/0000/0047/CGP_SHP_Book_Cover_295.jpg

the CGP guides are great, don't think they're that expensive either and you can get them at like wh smiths.

i would have to agree with this, i'm doing gcse history at the moment and these guides are a great source of information. :)

Bitesize is garbage! Get one of those books, they're brilliant for revising from. :D

The CGP revision books are brilliant, despite the somewhat cringy messages they put at the bottom of each page (and on the back cover). Still, I suppose that's what makes them so cool.. :P /geek.

I'd also suggest this. Many of my friends that have taken GCSE History have that book and have told me it was useful lol!!

Does your school get SamLearning accounts? They are better than bitesize imo but don't like feel that they help too much as I spent 30+ hours on mine (not by choice) and got an E in my Science exam? Also, I would try getting a revision book either like Bethie said from WhSmiths, Charity shops or libraries might have them too :)!

Oh yeah good point... I used SamLearning for GCSE History and it was really nice to just to summarise everything I'd learnt! :)

Basically what the others said! I also used sam learning and CGP books and they're really helpful for GCSE revision (although the not so funny jokes in CGP books get a bit annoying) :P

What topic are you doing?

I find www.schoolhistory.co.uk (http://www.schoolhistory.co.uk/gcselinks/) helpful as it has games and mindmaps etc.

I would say ask your supervisor/teacher. They usually have resources to hand or can reccomend what to revise from.

Good luck with your next exam.

Is this for GCSE or IGCSE?

I'm doing IGCSE at the moment, and if you are doing the same, then I really don't know. The textbook I have is excellent for revision, and I just got 99% in my IGCSE mock (including the coursework) and that's having only revised from the textbook.

I love those revision books (like above) though. I've got some for geography and they're excellent. If you get a revision book made by your exam board, then its great because the revision book will include just what you need to know and nothing else. Books published by other companies could include information that you don't need, or could miss out some that you do.

Yeah, my brother got a few of these for his GCSE's and he said they really helped him.
