My favorite would have to be The Elder Scrolls. Skyrim is of course my top at the moment. ^^ But The COD series of course is a close second, but only because of the competitive play.

In recent years in terms of how many times I have played the singleplayer, it has to be MGS4. I must have done that story so many times it's unreal. However multiplayer goes to COD4. Overall I'd probably give my favourite game(s) to LBP1/2 (they're basically the same) because I have probably sunk a lot of hours into level creation, and the first one especially felt really fresh and new.
Just to emphasise to anyone, I wasn't really into gaming before this generation.

My favourite game, apart from FFVIII, would probably be Metal Gear Solid 2. It was the first 'proper' game I completed and I just fell in love with it since the moment I first played it. Probably completed it at least twenty times now, never gets boring

There are a lot of games that stand out in my mind. The first game I ever really loved was the first Zelda (1987). I was born at the end of 1990. I also loved Zelda 64, Super Mario 64, Pilotwings, Star Fox 64, Final Fantasy 7 & 8, Twisted Metal 2, Vigilante 8: 2nd Offence, and many more. I had fun with Bethesda's games, but they were too glitchy to make the list.

But, my top five are as follows-

1. Kingdom Hearts (PS2)
2. Final Fantasy X (PS2)
3. The Legend of Zelda (NES)
4. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (PS2)
5. Final Fantasy VIII (PS)

Obviously, I'm biased to Square - I have a soft spot for JRPGs. KH2 was good, but it wasn't nearly as good because of the lack of platforming.
