Ok so last night after getting a 10min mute i couldn't really be bothered to stay on so i went on my clone (QUEERBUM account is over 2 years old) when it was working fine then this morning i went to log on and found this
I think its pretty much a disgrace at them not letting me change my name with all the badges on it. Or even letting me select the name in the first place????

I see why they banned yours though, someone who's gay might get offended - but yes, they should allow people the chance to change their name before banning them, in case they have furniture or something still on the account :S

You can't really expect names like this to be allowed on Habbo. I know they ban them after use as they've noticed that they're in use and then want to ban them. I don't think it would be right to have a name change, if you were silly enough to put furni on that account/use it without thinking you'll be banned then that's stupid. You probably made that for a joke (as you'd say it in a joke way to your friend) so I don't see anything bad about it being banned. :P

I got banned about 2 months after I made both the accounts, using them about an hour a day. It does seem stupid, but it's understandable. Most of the Habbo staff don't really understand much (and are probably homophobic, as we know some have been) so they would ban you. :P

Someone must have reported you for having aninappropriateusername, my mate has had the name cumpid for over a year and she's used it everyday till she got permed..habbo should allow you to change the username and if you dont within a certainamountof time you get permed

Hmm.. I don't see why you should be allowed a name change actually.. If you are banned for bullying or something, you're not given a chance to transfer your furni, so I don't see why you should be allowed to do so withinappropriatenames. And, to be fair, it's your own fault if you chose to put badges/furni on that account in the first place.

Unlucky you lost the badges, but it's fair I guess...........

If you do have furniture and badges on the account then it would make sense for them to allow you to change it. I have an account named habbosex that got permed for the same reason. They wouldn't let me change name

Ha ha I reported that name I think! And @ OP yeah I have a few glitched MOD- names that aren't banned with LOADS of badges, I was talking to Kitano on one of them and he didnt think of banning me or anything... Weird.

Hotel managers don't have the ability to ban at all - I think the most they can do is enter rooms when full? They don't even have roommute - I.e. Puffin back in 2009 (I think) had to announce the winners of a comp. in a public room, people kept spamming and she couldn't shut them up (she clearly did not have roommute or other commands) so she screamed "SHUT THE **** UP". Lmao.

Anyway yeah, commands are weird. Hotel managers don't have them, Mods can ban but they can't unban - Customer support have to unban. So complex.

The majority of hotel managers could ban in the past, not sure about now though, I know for a fact they have to report dodgey names to the mods to deal with. If he was rich that's be even better, considering I'm bitter and mean, lol.

Managers were able toroom muteand Mods were able to unban accounts before the merge, but maybe it's different now.

I somewhat agree with you. Although that name may be offensive to homosexuals, they shouldn't have let you chosen it in the first place. If they want to prevent bad character names, why don't they just put a filter on the name selection? This would also help the mods out.

Well,

I had my old account Stexual on habbo.co.uk since 2006 never had a problem with it.

Then all was good but habbo decided to merge with habbo.com A month after being merged they perm banned me for the same reason. Had everything on that account.

But I contacted them through player support after like three weeks of waiting they decided to give me a name change to iBlueBox. Everything still the same as my Stexual account but now just called iBlueBox.

Habbo has WTF(riday) so I didn't really see a problem in my name xD
