Easily. But you can't wear mystic robes, do it sometime earlier in the morning, less PKers. Your combat/melee level doesn't matter, once you enter the arena it's drained to 0.

Whats the point of backstabbing? The staffs are untradable, and when killed they wont be dropped.

If you're worried about being PKed while actually doing mage arena, don't. You can't be killed while doing it, not by players anyway.. Only when you're learning the spell(s).
