Got my car back today!

I got my BMW back from the shop today! I was going to store it away in a barn but I didn't put it away soon enough so I parked it in an alley way for the winter. So my car was parked in-between 2 houses, and over the Christmas holidays the house on the left caught on fire. My car was behind another car so there was no hope of getting it out. My car didn't suffer any physical burns, but it did have some heat damage to the plastics on the drivers side. I was really scared to get it fixed because I figured they would do a ****** job.

They replaced everything, and I can't even tell. Front bumper, both headlights, drivers-side door handles, mouldings, trim, rear bumper and tail lights. They also painted the drivers side of the car. They also replaced 2 tires, which means I have to replace the passenger side tires but I don't care because they were **** anyway.

I'll post a pic of her tomorrow, she's looking good!!!

lucky you, my focus has been sat on the drive for about a week now on axle stands, needs a lot of work hopefully should finish tomorrow when my new wishbone gets delivered

I didn't see the pics when you posted your thread, I can't see them writing that off... unless your airbags deployed.. hopefully your hood is damaged so you get a free spray lol

mm, it's an old car so i reckon they'll just write it off. they normally do that with older cars over here.

That really sucks, I would probably just fix the light and leave the rest as-is.. It really sucks being without a car!!!

It's basically bone stock, I don't think there's any mods to it under the hood. I avoided doing anything to it because of the warranty. The warranty is expired so I suppose I could drop it... I just put 2 new Michelin Primacys on to match the new ones, should really have put my winters on it since it's RWD and it blows in the snow with summer tires on it lol
