Whitney Houston has died

LOS ANGELES — Whitney Houston, who reigned as pop music's queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, has died. She was 48.

Publicist Kristen Foster said Saturday that the singer had died, but the cause and the location of her death were unclear.

At her peak in the 1980s and '90s, Houston the golden girl of the music industry and one of the world's best-selling artists.

Among her hits were "How Will I Know," "Saving All My Love for You" and "I Will Always Love You." She won multiple Grammys including album and record of the year.

Her success carried her beyond music to movies like "The Bodyguard."

But by the end of her career, drug use took its toll as her record sales plummeted and her voice became raspy and hoarse.

it's pretty much undisputed that whitney has been seen as a legend/icon within the music industry for a long, long time - like it almost becomes borderline fact and not opinion lol :P

I meant people who didn't really listen to her before. I know that she's been a major icon to some people. I understand people are starting to listen to her again and taking in how talented she was but still doesn't mean they have to post it all over facebook saying she's a complete legend etc.

it's just a sign of respect really - as not everyone wishes to speak ill of the dead so soon often ones passing. i do see it on my facebook and twitter, where people are saying rip whitney (and the same for when it was michael jackson, etta james, amy winehouse etc.), but i'd rather see people posting their respects about anyone who recently died, rather than nothing at all.

Whitney Houston's 18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was just rushed to Cedears-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles ... TMZ has learned.

According to our sources ... Bobbi was taken out of the Beverly Hilton, where Whitney died yesterday, on a stretcher.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ police and fire responded to a call for a medical emergency, but would not confirm who was transported.

As TMZ first reported, Bobbi Kristina got into an angry shouting match last night with police officers outside the hotel room where her mother was found dead

Bobbi Christina is Whitney's only child from husband Bobby Brown. Houston and Brown were married in 1992 and divorced in 2007.

The people who have stated drugs seem to be of the opinion that drugs actually killed her, they do not appear to be adding any predictions at all! If they were predictions, they would be adding language based on "chances are" e.g. I bet it was drugs. They're making statement of facts, saying they have no sympathy for her. So I can see GND's problem :)

What's also interesting is that any reputatable media company has stated there is no clear evidence drugs killed her, so loads of people are literally jumping the gun stating they have no sympathy for the woman when it could of been a cry for help gone wrong and a number of reasons. She could of taken prescription drugs, drunk too much and collapsed in the bath, took sleeping pills before having a bath, had a haemorraged which would explain her behaviour before hand or a number of reasons. A drug overdose on illegal drugs is just one of many reasons, the answer will not be for a while :P

I didn't read online, what I just said I just read the news and it did not say whether she took drugs or not. Someone told me in real life she died of drugs, and as my post said if she did take drugs, R.I.P but I do have no sympathy. Wether if she DID NOT, r.i.p, and it's a shame


Basically what you're saying is, what I read is fake, and so meaning she most likely did take drugs? Clearly you mistook what I wrote.
