i never want to sleep but when i do i don't want to wake up, no matter how many hours sleep i got.

like when im going to bed whether it's early, normal time or late i always take my ipod or phone or a book. even if i'm tired i don't want to sleep >_> mainly cause i'm left with my thoughts for hours which drive me mad.then when it's time to get up, i don't want to get up. if i don't have to get up, i'll go back to sleep or lay there for hours doing nothing but thinking or listening to music. i don't get out of bed until my mum literally shouts at me to.

i'm not really a lazy person i make sure i do get up and dressed and go out every day unless the weather is really bad. + i generally do something productive but it's such a drag to initially get up. this isn't normal for me cause i used to wake up before 9am every weekend (but still always forced myself to stay awake at night), i dunno what's happened.

Yep, that's me all over. Although I am a lazy person, but generally I don't like going to bed, so I stay up for as long as I physically can a lot of the time, so naturally I'm not really going to want to get up after that. I could probably fix it without much effort, but I don't really want to. I enjoy the night, as it's about the only time I can get some peace. It might just be a phase, but I wouldn't worry about it unless you feel it's affecting your health or your studies.

I get that too. Can be stress related or something

Exactly me tbh.
I don't actually think anything causes it, it's human instinct not to wake up or not to sleep maybe?

Or you might not want to sleep/wake up because you have to do stuff the next day which you don't want to do, so you're trying to make the day come 'slower'.

Yah I feel like I'm gonna miss out on something if I go to sleep (dunno WHAT it's not like anything ever happens) but then when I need to wake up I'm just like nahhhh sleeping is much better

I do this, I'm always exhausted to the point where I want to sleep but my brain just keeps me awake, I get too occupied doing something or watching something, then when I do sleep say 4AM I think hmm, let me wake up at 10. But alarms get snoozed and cancelled and 10AM turns to like 2. Then by the time I work out and go out, the whole day is gone and it's repeat. :(

But I am half owl and I do have an iron deficiency so I always feel sleepy and like ****, I guess that's why I can't wake up as easy as some people. I know people who can run on like 4 hours a day, I haven't been able to do that since I was 15 :( and I'm 18 in 10 days.. Getting OLD.

You see for me, I never want to go to sleep, but when I do I only want the minimum. I don't have any issues getting to sleep, I can literally pass out at will. I think my problem is that I value my free time too much. Which might be the same case with those not wanting to go to sleep. Although I feel I'm in a boat all of my own not wanting to sleep more than five or six hours, anyone else like this? :)

You'd be surprised to see how many people this happens too. I've found myself to be in bed for 1am and my Mum will text me asking if I'm awake cos she can't sleep. I wake up at like 8am most mornings naturally, and feel like I've only had my eyes closed for a second. I always find having a really hot bath and then relaxing can help.

i wish i could sleep for a long long time, but whenever i get into bed i always cba to go sleep and play on my phone, stay on laptop etc. then when i do go bed i can't fall asleep for ages. i love sleeping though, mainly because my dreams are always so vivid and are usually lucid dreams anyway. that isn't always a good thing though, because it means i mix some of my dreams up with my actual memories :(

I generally go to sleep whenever and will get up at 11 latest (depends on when I went to sleep, usually more like 9:30/10). I inherited a trait from my dad that I can't stay in bed too long, will probably become much more apparent as I age.

yeah def on a weekday i feel like im gonna miss out like on facebook or something then when i wake up i really don't care whats happened

omg this is me if i go to sleep say 3am i say i'll only give myself 6 hours sleep so that i'm tired the next night but end up sleeping for an extra 3 hours..

i'll swap with you, i can't pass out like that. not straight away. i need to lie down and relax for a while which is impossible with my mind. i don't want to sleep less than 5/6 hours ever i feel like i need to sleep for at least 8 hours but generally i do better on 6 or 7 but that usually leads to crashing out early.

mmmm.. my mum and my brother wake up really early and as soon as they're up, they're up. me, my dad and other brother stay up late, wake up late. however both me and my brother have had to train ourselves to get up early for college/work so i got in to habit of waking up early but now im slipping back in to waking up late... physically can't get out my bed cause i know i don't have to but i used to be able to for a year or so

I feel that like in terms of not wanting to go to sleep, and like mentioned on the first page, feeling as though you'll miss out on something :P. I tend to do something else first, like play on my phone or something while in bed. Then in the morning I won't want to get out of bed, although I will after about 15 mins of laying there :P!

This actually makes a lot of sense to me as I generally feel like that.

lol sometimes when I'm half asleep I dream that I've woken up and got out of bed and got ready for college when I haven't and I nearly end up late because of that..its slightly freaky.

That's so crazy! I have never had anything like that happen to me. I have no problems falling asleep as long as I have good music to play on repeat but I do tend to not want to get up until I am totally rested. I can be lazy. I don't do naps, though.

yeah i've never dreamt that i've woken up then actually wake up lol n can people actually sleep with music on? do you use headphones/earphones etc? i sometimes lay down with one earphone in (not 2 cause i still need to be able to hear incase an axe murderer breaks in obv) but i don't think i could actually sleep with music on. plus my alarm clock is on my ipod n dont really wanna be woken up with that in my ear...

False awakening I got that the other week woke up in my dream and went on my ipod then i woke up again in my dream and did it again
then i finally woke up.

And I sometimes get that not wanting to sleep thing like even if I'm not doing anything to keep me up I just feel more alive or something I dunno

I always get these dreams where I'm just falling and falling. They're amazing xD

And does anyone else get those dreams where someone says something within the dream then the next day, they say it irl?
It's kinda creepy :l
