Not watching it right now, but I do enjoy watching it. I kinda find it quite annoying to watch as it makes me cringe. Why would parents even do that? Do they seriously expect their children to be well behaved on a holiday with all their friends lol.

I thought it was "Sun, Sex and Suspicious parents"? Either way, it's a waste of money by the BBC if you ask me, assuming they are the ones paying for the holiday as they're basically treating spoilt brats and yet have the nerve to cancel good shows like DWC and Mongrels. It's a load of crap basically.

I don't why BBC3 is trying to act like some guide to life for teenagers with all the sex season stuff and stuff about illnesses and how people live their lives. I'd rather watch Russell Howard than sit watching some unknown presenter tell us about her gay uncle footballer.

I think this is the first thing you have ever posted that I agree with. I mean there's so much being taught about sex in schools already which almost pressures people into do it due to the sheer amount taught at school, yet apparently they need to shove it all on TV too when people want to relax. Thankfully this doesn't affect me much anymore as thanks to college, I don't sit there being "taught" sex-related material by someone who has probably had it about once in their 50 years due to their unattractiveness and obesity, but that is a different topic altogether. So basically, shoving more sex education on TV actually has a negative impact in my opinion. Infact thinking about it (going slightly off topic), I think people might actually go to the doctors more if all they were told is if it isn't "insert a basic description of genitals and stuff" as they wouldn't be so paranoid about it being bad, however now with knowing all the things you can get people can imagine the worst and may just block it out and pretend their problem doesn't exist.

Anyway back on the topic at hand, crap show as I mentioned before.

Who the hell wants to watch a load of immature teenagers go on holiday and get spied on by their parents or whatever happens on that show, I wonder how many brain cells it takes to enjoy it. [@]@dbgtz[/@] I feel honoured :D

I enjoy this show. I normally watch it on Sunday night at 11:30. Some of the things they get up to though can be a bit weird.

Ha I hate reality stuff but I do watch this its kind of a guilty pressure mainly to see how the parents react. I couldn't believe the previous episode when the mother was looking for stains on the bed to see if her son had been cheating. Sorry but I know you'd like your kid to be committed but that is too far.

I find it quite amusing!
Even though IMO the parents shouldn't really do it as it is an act of freedom and trust for there own kids, and surely they must know what there going to get up to.

I love the programme It's brilliant such a good Idea. For a lot of the relationships of child and parents has been amended and there has been a boundary broken between childhood and adulthood. I like it for that reason.

And I like to watch them all get steaming drunk and bugger up their holiday! (=

Yeah I watch it. There's some amount of padding in the show though: it has no right being an hour long program. They could cut all the crap about the parents 'spying' on their kids from 12 miles away through telescopes while 'trying not to get caught'. We already know that no set of parents is going to be spotted by their kids because they ride around in blacked out buses with curtains on the windows to boot. So cut that fluff out of the program for a start.

Also cut the segment where the parents 'sneak' into their kids' rooms and pretend to act stealthily when the viewer knows there is a 0% chance of them being rumbled otherwise the whole show is ruined. The only point of the parents exploring their rooms is so that, if they don't already know, the production crew can point them in the direction of condoms.

Even the footage that the parents do get shown is heavily edited. The whole premise of the show is to let parents see what goes on on their kids holiday (as well as some heartwarming crap at the end, by which time I've changed the channel), but it's clear that they only show much. And they can only show much because there's plenty of **** that goes on which just wouldn't be suitable for television. Half the time I feel sorry for the parents if they're so naive to believe that the worst thing their kid is getting up to is getting so smashed that they can't walk.

I find it ridiculous when the parents go to the same club as them and spy from the back room... it's not CBBC. Pointless show, has a few good moments. Watched about 3 episodes, one of them things you turn to when it's between that or the news.

Kind of a guilty pleasure for me. A lot of the people on the show are just *****, but I do find it hilarious. Like when that guy in the third episode just suddenly decided he was going to ride on the back of a moving bus, and when one of his friends was eating those frosties. Some of the parents are more entertaining than the kids, too. The mum of the boy I just mentioned needs her own television series or something. The other guy in the third episode was a pleasant surprise, too. The one who hadn't lost his virginity. At first I thought he was going to be a right idiot, but turns out he was a really genuine, decent person. His father was so sweet, too.

The kids know they are being filmed... they just don't know it's for Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents. Althought by this point they really should know if someone aproaches them saying 'we're filming a documentary about teens' first holiday for the BBC, would you like to be involved?' what it really is by now.

Yeah! The dad went mental at the daughter for picking up a drink she had already left unattended and she went off crying so he went after her and made them cease filming... :/

that was annoying. I mean these parents go in kind of expecting stuff to happen then it does and they get annoyed. Some things shouldn't be seen by parents.

When that family refused the film any longer it was a bit OTT don't you think?
If you following your son/daughter on their first lads/ladies holiday its going to be messy and you probably are going to see things you wouldn't expect to see at home.

Yes it was certainly OTT based on the circumstances however saying that she did blatently say before she did it "my dad told me not to do this but oh well" which would be frustrating. Refusing to film the end is silly though.

Yeah. The brunette girl was a complete ****. I can't stand people like that. When she kept going on at her blonde guy-friend and he explicitly said: "Ok, I'm wrong and you're right. End of." yet she had to keep yammering on.

It's also incredibly annoying when you're on holiday and one of your friends has a significant other back home who is all they can think or speak about. The ironic thing is that while she was belittling her friends to their faces and idolizing her boyfriend, he was probably balls deep in some other girl 1000 miles away on his year out.

Oh, I forgot to mention that guys wife in the third episode needed a slap or something. Her husband was crying his eyes out and all she did was stand there. Give the man a hug, dammit!

If I remember correctly that was the woman who was in a car accident some years ago. They said she was in chronic pain.

I did think the same as you though, that she rarely managed to even crack a smile, but fair dues if she was constantly in pain.
