Basically you can see where ALL the planes are in the world, it's quite cool.
Click here for the website (http://www.flightradar24.com)
All the planes are like on top of each other, well not all obv

Nowhere near all the planes, just the ones with ADS-B trasponders near people with products like Radarbox or near airports that signed up. :P
Their Android app is quite cool, the pro version gives you augmented reality so you can point your phone camera at a plane in the sky and get all the information on it.

My parents love it... they tend to track the aircraft I'm flying for the day on it :)

Yeah I've known this site and some others for a while now. They are quite cool and can be quiet interesting, especially when the ash cloud last year stopped loads of flights in Europe and you could see the impact of that by using the site.

Yeah, they'd have gone out of general ADS-B coverage over the sea :P

Well when testing new planes Boeing and Airbus have to do long stress tests, so they just plotted a route around the US. However, since it doesn't matter where they go they spelt out 787 and the Boeing logo.

Oh that is brilliant, hahahaha!
I have an iPad app called PFHD (Plane Finder HD) which puts a little plane on top of the Google maps. This kind of stuff is such fun to watch! :P
