I was looking forward to the game for months, I was looking forward to the new features, I have to say it's the best Call of duty produced yet in my opinion, They have improved it dramtically.

Maps:
They have added new maps, Arkaden, Bakaara, Bootleg, Carbon,
Dome, Downturn, Fallen, Hardhat, Interchange, Lockdown,
Mission, Outpost, Resistance, Seatown, Underground and Village.
There is now a DLC Map pack which includes the maps Piazza and Liberation.

Guns:
There are new and better guns,
Assault Rifles:
M4A1
The M4A1 is unlocked from the start. It is a fully automatic Assault Rifle that is popular among special forces units. This weapon was also featured as an Assault Rifle in Modern Warfare 2.
M16A4
In MW3, the M16A4 will be available from the beginning. It will fire a 3-round burst, just like it did in MW2. This weapon is more effective at long-range combat.
SCARL-L
In the previous Modern Warfare game, we were introduced to the SCAR-H Assault Rifle. This time, in MW3, we will be getting a chance to use the SCAR-L. H stands for heavy, whereas L stands for Light.
CM901
The CM901 is unlocked from the beginning. Developed by Colt in the United States, this weapon is based on the M16 and the M4. In case you were wondering, CM stands for Colt Modular.
Type 95
The Type 95 is a 3-burst Assault Rifle, just like M16A4. In MW3, you will be able to unlock the weapon at Level 32. This gun was developed in China.
G36C
The G36c was first featured in Call of Duty 4. It has since been confirmed that it will be returning in MW3. The gun can be unlocked at Level 42. This weapon was developed by Heckler & Koch in the early 1990s. The letter c stands for Compact and the weapon originates from Germany.
ACR 6.8
The ACR will be returning in MW3. Many Call of Duty fans will remember how accurate the ACR Assault Rifle was in MW2; as it had virtually zero recoil. This gun was designed by Magpul Industries in the United States. The ACR 6.8 can be unlocked at Level 50.
MK14
The MK14 Assault Rifle is semi-automatic. In MW3, it can be unlocked at Level 60. This is an enhanced Battle Rifle. Developed in the United States, it is currently used in Iraq and Afghanistan. Originally built to be used by the Navy Seals.
AK-47
The AK-47 is a fan-favorite that has been present in the last three Call of Duty games. In MW3, it can be unlocked at Level 68. The AK-47 was developed in the Soviet Union. This is one of the most-used Assault Rifles in the world.
FAD
The FAD is the last Assault Rifle to be unlocked in MW3. It can be unlocked at Level 78. This weapon was developed in Peru. It was designed by Salomón Braga Lozo from SIMA Electronica.

Sniper Rifles:
Barret .50 cal
The Barrett .50 Cal will be returning in MW3. It will be unlocked from the beginning. This sniper rifle is semi-automatic and it has a very quick raise time. This gun also featured in COD 4 and Modern Warfare 2.
L118A
The L118A looks extremely similar to the L96 in Black Ops - it is also a bolt-action sniper rifle. It is unlocked from the beginning. Below is a screenshot of it being used in-game.
Dragunov
The Dragunov is a semi-automatic gas-operated sniper rifle that is available from the beginning in MW3. It featured in COD 4 and Black Ops. This gun was developed in the Soviet Union. It was designed to act as a squad support weapon.
AS50
The AS50 is a new addition to the series. This sniper rifle was developed in the United Kingdom. It it unlocked from the start of the MW3 multiplayer. The AS50 was designed by Accuracy International. It is a gas-powered semi-automatic rifle. Below, you can see a screenshot of the AS50 being used with an ACOG scope.
RSASS
The RSASS was one of the sniper rifles spotted in the weapons leak a few months back. RSASS stands for REMINGTON SEMI-AUTOMATIC SNIPER SYSTEM. This gun can be unlocked at Level 44 in Modern Warfare 3. It is a semi-automatic sniper.
MSR
The MSR is the last sniper rifle to be unlocked in the MW3 multiplayer. It is unlocked at Level 66. It can also be called the Remington Modular Sniper Rifle. This was developed by the same company as the RSASS. Below is a picture of what the weapon looks like.

Submachine Guns:
MP5
Developed by Heckler & Koch in Germany, the MP5 is 9mm submachine gun. As you can see below, the MP5 in MW3 will look slightly different than the MP5 found in COD 4 and the MP5K found in MW2. This time around, the gun will be larger in length. The MP5 will be unlocked from the start in MW3.
UMP
The UMP will be returning in MW3. This SMG was also designed by Heckler & Koch. UMP stands for Universal Machine Pistol, or Universale Maschinenpistole. The UMP 45 first appeared in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. It was by far the most powerful weapon in the Submachine Gun Category. The UMP will be available from Level 1 in Modern Warfare 3.
PP90M1
The PP90M1 SMG is a new addition to the Call of Duty series. Developed in Russia, it is a helical variant of the AK74u. This weapon was designed by the KBP Instrument Design Bureau in the 1990s. In case you didn't know, a helical magazine extends the drum magazine design so that rounds follow a spiral path. This allow a large ammunition capacity in a small compact package. This SMG will be available from the beginning.
P90
The P90 (aka the FN P90) returns in Modern Warfare 3. This SMG featured in both COD 4 and MW2. Unlocked at Level 38, the P90 boasts a large magazine and a very high rate of fire. Although, it isn't as powerful as the MP5 or UMP. This weapon was designed and developed in Belgium.
PM-9
The Minebea PM-9 is a new addition to the COD series. Developed in Japan, this SMG is based on the mini UZI; although it looks and handles differently. This weapon is unlocked at Level 56.
MP7
The last SMG to be unlocked in MW3 is the MP7. This SMG is unlocked at Level 74. Like the MP5, this weapon was produced by Heckler & Koch in Germany. It is a direct rival to the P90. This submachine gun is used by the German Army and the Norwegian Defense forces.

Shotguns:
USAS 12
The USAS 12 is an automatic shotgun that was developed in South Korea by Daewoo Precision Industries. It is a gas-operated shotgun that is designed to provide heavy firepower in close quarters combat situations. This weapon is unlocked from the beginning in MW3.
KSG 12
The Kel-Tec KSG is a 12 gauge bullpup pump-action shotgun that will appear in MW3. This weapon was manufactured in the USA. It is unlocked from the start at Level 1.
Spas 12
The Spas 12 shotgun first appeared in MW2. Because of its popularity, Infinity Ward decided to bring it back. The Spas 12 is a combat shotgun that was developed in Italy. In real life, it can be used as a pump action or a semi automatic shotgun.
Striker
The Striker is returning in MW3 as a semi-automatic shotgun that is unlocked at Level 48. This is a 12-gauge shotgun that was developed in South Africa by Hilton Walker in the 1980s. This weapon was also seen in MW2.
Model 1887
The Model 1887 is also returning in MW3. When MW2 was first released, it gained a notorious reputation for having a much larger range than the rest of the shotguns. Later, its range was nerfed. This shotgun was designed in 1887 by American gun designer John Browning. Production of the 1887 stopped in 1901. This can be unlocked at Level 62.

Light Machine Guns:
L86 LSW
The L86 LSW LMG appeared in MW2 as the primary weapon on the default class Overwatch. It dealt the most damage-per-second than any gun in the game. It is a magazine-fed automatic weapon. In MW3, it will be available from the beginning of the game. This weapon was developed in the United Kingdom.
MG36
The MG36 is also unlocked from the beginning of the game. Developed by Heckler and Koch in Germany, this LMG is a variant of the G36 Assault Rifle, which is an Assault Rifle in MW3. It should be noted that this weapon is no longer offered by Heckler & Koch.
PKP Pecheneg
The PKP Pecheneg is a new addition to the Call of Duty series. This is available at the start of the game. The PKP Pecheneg was developed in Russia and is currently being used by Spetsnaz. The gun is named after a warlike tribe of Turkic people.
MK46
The M249 LMG is an American version of the Belgian FN Minimi LMG. It is currently used by the US army. In-game, this weapon can be unlocked at Level 68.
M60E4
The M60E4 is a variant of the M60 LMG, which featured in Black Ops. In MW3, it can be unlocked at Level 72. The M60E4 is the most modern variant of the M60. In general, it is the most reliable weapon out of all the M60 Light Machine Guns. This was developed in the United States in 1957

Machine Pistols:
FMG-9
The Magpul FMG-9 is a folding submachine gun that will act as a machine pistol in MW3. It will be unlocked from the beginning of the multiplayer. The FMG9 was developed in the United States and it is designed for concealed carry.
MP9
The MP9 is a blowback-operated automatic 9mm machine gun that is unlocked from the start of the game. The original design came from Sweden. In Modern Warfare 3, it will act a machine pistol.
Skorpion
In previous Call of Duty games, the Skorpian has acted as a SMG. However, in MW3, it will be a machine pistol. This weapon was developed in Czechoslovakia in 1959 by Miroslav Rybář. The Skorpian is unlocked at Level 36.
G18
The G18 first appeared in Modern Warfare 2 as a machine pistol. In MW3, it will be unlocked at Level 70. This weapon has an extremely high rate of fire, although it isn't as powerful as some of the other machine pistols. In MW2, it had a large amount of recoil.

Pistols:
USP .45
This handgun is available from the beginning. This gun also featured in COD 4 and MW2; and is set to make a comeback for MW3. In Call of Duty, this is an all-round good sidearm, as it has great accuracy and a large magazine. Unfortunately, it has mediocre hip fire accuracy.
P99
The P99 is a new addition to Call of Duty. This handgun, which is unlocked at the beginning, is a semi-automatic pistol that was developed in Germany. Also known as the Walther P99, production of this handgun began in 1997.
MP412
The MP412 REX is a Russian .357 magnum revolver that is unlocked from the start of the MW3 multiplayer. This revolver has a break-open frame and an automatic ejector. REX stands for Revolver for EXport. Unfortunately, this pistol never made it onto the market.
.44 Magnum
This revolver first appeared in MW2. In MW3, it can be unlocked at Level 46. It is extremely powerful in-game and it usually only takes 2-3 shots to kill, regardless of Stopping Power. This gun was developed in the United States by Elmer Keith/Smith and Wesson.
Five Seven
The Five Seven is another new addition to the Call of Duty series.
Also known as the FN Five-seven, this pistol was developed in Belgium. It is semi-automatic. This weapon is used by many law enforcement agencies in the United States. In-game, it is unlocked at Level 58.
Desert Eagle
The Desert Eagle makes a comeback in MW3. It was previously featured in both Call of Duty 4 and Modern Warfare 2. Unlocked at Level 76, this pistol is described as a large-framed gas-operated semi-automatic pistol that was designed by Magnum Research in the United States.

Launchers:
SMAW
SMAW is short for Shoulder-Launched Multipurpose Assault Weapon. This launcher was developed in the United States. It is based off the Israeli B-300. In real life, this launcher is used to destroy bunkers and other fortifications. In MW3, it will be unlocked from the beginning of the multiplayer.
Javelin
First introduced in MW2, this launcher is unlocked from the start of MW3. To use this launcher, you must lock onto a vehicle or lock onto a specific part of the map. In real life, it is an anti-tank missile that was developed in the United States.
Stinger
The Stinger is also making a comeback in MW3. It can be unlocked at Level 40. In MW2, it was easily the best anti-air launcher in the game, as it gave you two stinger missiles. In real life, the Stinger is a personal portable infrared homing surface-to-air missile that was developed and designed in the United States. It first began service in 1981.
XM25
The XM25 is an air burst grenade launcher that originated in Germany and the United States. In MW3, it can be unlocked at Level 52. The XM25 fires 25mm grenades that explode in mid-air at or near the target. It was one of the weapons shown in the MW3 multiplayer trailer.
M320 GLM
The M320 GLM is unlocked at Level 64 in MW3. It is a grenade launcher that developed in Germany. It is a single-shot 40 mm grenade launcher system. A model build of this grenade launcher was shown in the MW3 Kotaku leak.
RPG
The trusted RPG makes a comeback in MW3. It was featured as a launcher in COD 4, MW2 and Black Ops. In MW3, it can be unlocked at Level 80, which is the final level before you prestige. The RPG was developed by the Soviet Union. It is by far the most powerful launcher in the game, as it comes with two rockets and no lock-on is required.
