hope everyone had a good pancake day!!

tomorrow is ash wednesday - which is the start of lent, where you give up something for 40 days and 40 nights (basically ends at easter).

i don't know whether i am actually going to give up anything, i usually always start to do lent but then give up halfway through. i would give up chocolate but then if i got any for my birthday, i wouldnt be able to eat it which would be annoying, haha. :(

is anyone going to give up anything? have you done it in the past?

Might try this year for a bit of a laugh, maybe giving up sugar in my tea?

Tried chocolate before. I lasted about 20 days then just gave in.

I've also tried swearing - that worked out for quite a while, but old habits die hard :P.

This year, I'll be aiming to not use internet acronyms > e.g. "Lol, Brb, Ftao" etc. (That's my online based one) and my ""Real life"" one will be to not make mean jokes :( - I always joke about my short friend's height </3.

High in sugar products such as sweets and fizzy drinks. I went a year just drinking water and I felt great so perhaps I can do it again :P.

I gave up all meat products four years ago and am still a vegan today. I can't give up any food or otherwise I would die of malnutrition over the next forty days, so I don't think I'll give anything up this year..
