Hey,

I sometimes like to stream music with my mates so I use Sam broadcaster however every time I play a song, it disconnects from the radio. It isn't to do with the radio. Any suggestions on how I can make it stop disconnecting?

Thanks!!

Do you notice anything in the event log? SAM Broadcaster has an event log usually on desktop b, when it disconnects is there any errors in red. There is a chance you could be using a bitrate your internet can't handle and so SAM will stop it.

It could be just a general bug - which version of SAM are you using?

ISP's always say up to a speed e.g. up to 20mb, up to 8mb. It depends how much you get get. If your on normal broadband it includes factors such as how close you are to the exchange and the state of your telephone line and so on. Also because your uploading as well a good upload speed is handy but usually rare.

You may want to do a speed test - tryhttp://www.speedtest.net/

Well you can eliminate one factor... it's definitely not your internet connection lmao.

The net is gooddefinitelyabove average. I'm quite jealous ha as for my home broadband I'm on 8mb but lucky to get 4mb.

Which version of 4 is it and which database? Have you tried possibly upgrading to the newest SAM. It could be just something is corrupt - try uninstalling SAM and the database and then deleting their program folders then re-installing. I usually use Firebird myself as it seems the easiest - doesn't require really any configuration for basic stuff.

Can I ask what the cause was just out ofcuriosityas I use SAM myself and wouldn't want this happening.
