Wasn't sure where to put this but I'm sure here will do...

Okay basically I thought I'd make this thread because last year July-September I did voluntary work in Romania at a summer camp which was for different schools they called it 'English camp' different schools came every week and we taught them English and did activities (sports, painting, music, drama, paintballing, etc)

There were 12 volunteers all together from all over (mostly England though we had 2 Irish girls in our group and a couple from the Czech Republic) we all had a great laugh had pool parties on our day off, went clubbing and stuff it was well good. One of the best experiences of my life.

If anyone is up for doing anything like this you should check out the company I did it with, we had to pay for our flights there but everything else was paid for such as accommodation and meals and they also paid for our return flight. We needed a bit of spending money for when we went on days out and stuff so I just had money sent over when I needed it. If you're interested here is the website and I would recommend it to anyone, looks fab on your CV and it's such a good experience. Anyway here is the websitehttp://www.dad.ro/if you like working with children then it's really good at first I thought I'd be crap with children but I was really good and they're SO cute.

Posted some pics below so ppl can get an idea of what it was like. Anyone doing anything like this over the summer or done anything like this previously? I'd recommend it to anyone honestly best experience ever along with when I went to Africa as well last year.

Okay the pics don't really do it justice but yeah was gr8!

That sounds great, such a nice way to spend your time out of education/work. Look like you had some fun!

Personally I want to do something like that and I probably will in the future if I have the time. I'll check out that link :)

Yeah it was really good! Was so ready to come home though after a month of doing the same routine over and over again, I now know every single children's party song there is and I'm the best at the caspa slide and the macerina!!!

That actually looks really nice! :) I hate children and I'm too young even if I didn't so that kinda ruins it.. but still, minus the children and it looks fab :P

I was supposed to do the same thing but in Brazil when I finished school but the company made a big error or something so in the end I think only a few people ended up going over. I'm sure it's very rewarding to do and a great experience though
