Okay so I went for my eye test today and it's not what I was expecting, I've always had bad eyes but never ended up with glasses. I've found out I'm short sighted in one eye and long sighted in another. I also found out my right eye muscle is weak and thin, so my eyes are very sensitive to bright lights (I've always had bad headaches after being in the sun for too long!). I've never had glasses because I hate the way I look in them but as of Thursday I'm collecting my glasses and it's me and them for life (CRYCRYCRY). But the chances are I just won't wear them :l

Does anybody else have bad eye sight? I can see things fine normally, just I have to squint sometimes :(

Aww I think my mum has a similar eye problem to you, my brother is short sighted and I'm not sure about my dad but he wears glasses too. I fortunately have a really good eye sight and I haven't experienced any problems with it before.

Well everything seems fine from my point of view, but I tried some lenses today and I realized my vision could be 100 x better :(

I'm short-sighted but I haven't really wore my glasses since the eye test like years ago. I probably should though! :(

Yeah, my mum paid out LOADS of money for some dkny glasses for me when i was like 16 and i didn't wear them at all :( i'll probs just wear them in the house, like when i'm on my laptop and stuff. so annoying though :( i have to wear them otherwise my eye muscle will just give up and i'll have even worse problems.

My dad has very bad eye issues, he has to wear contacts but can only wear them at certain times before it starts to hurt. I'm actually surprised that I don't have to wear glasses yet, but I guess I will one day. :P

Everyone in my family wears them, if it's for reading or whatever, it was only a matter of time before i had to join them :p

Well i have had glasses since i was 5 and im 18 now, when i first got given glasses i hated them and didnt wear them regular till they said if i didnt wear them i would have them for life but if i wore them more i wouldnt need them for as long, that was around 10 but that seems to have gone out the window as far as im concerned lol.
As far as whats wrong with my eyes i have longsighted-ness and a stigma in one eye :) They wont let me have contact lenses yet as they think i wont be able to deal with them LOL.. I hate the way i look with glasses though, although everyone else thinks i look better with them than without haha

Goodluck and glasses are not always as bad as they seem i guess :)

Wow a lot of people have eye problems :O Last time I went to an eye check up a couple of months ago they said all was fine for me. I hope I never need to wear glasses!

I just can't wait to see if wearing my glasses will stop my headaches. Hopefully they will & I'll come round to the idea of contacts!

oh wow yr exactly the same as me, i am short sighted in my right eye, long-sighted in my left. had glasses, wore them rarely over like 3 years. broke them last year. should really go back as i do have trouble with my eyes and stuff but the price scares me ********.

yeah, i went to the opticians a few weeks ago and was basically told to start wearing glasses more & that i have a stretched retina so can't do anything that may result in sudden jolts to the head and that it can be a medical emergency (my worst fear is going blind, so if i went blind in both eyes i'd have to srsly be on suicide-watch as i could never live not seeing anything). and i'm short sighted & thought since i'm having to wear glasses all the time now, i might aswell get a decent pair that looks good as i hate wearing glasses and cba with contacts.

yeah, they told me if my eye muscle gets weaker my vision will become 100 x worse :( i agree with the decent glasses, if i have to wear them 24/7 i might aswell put that bit extra towards it and get a nicer pair. i'm off to collect them soon! eeeek

I've been wearing glasses since I was 6 or 7 and I can tell you it's not bad at all. You'll adapt it and right now, I think i can't live without my glasses cause my eyes are ****. But if you want to improve your eye sight, you can try taking vitamin blah i forgot. you can ask your optician/doctor. if it's getting worse, then lasik surgery although not many of us can afford it I think.

I have terrible short-sighted eye sight. I've been wearing glasses for years! Often had terrible headaches and feeling dizzy probably because of my eyes. If i have money i'm gonna do a LASIK surgery when i'm like 23. If you hate glasses then wear contacts but you have to be very cautious with contact lenses.

well i'm sat here wearing my new glasses! felt abit dizzy to start with but i guess it's because my eyes were adjusting. and, my headache has gone! it's been there for AGES. not exactly loving it right now but i'm sure i'll get used to it. :)
