whats your views on it?
would you have it? why/why not?
what do you think of it on other's?

i won't have it based purely on aesthetic reasons but say i was in an accident and broke my nose, i'd seriously consider having it. i don't like it on other people if they've had it to "improve" themselves as it's, in my opinion, deceiving and i'd rather be with people who are comfortable in their own skin :) pretty hypocritical of me considering south korea has the highest rate of plastic surgery in the world (A)

if i could afford it (and i doubt will ever be able to) i'd change everything, have everything done. just to be a completely different person.

it depends, i think people who have a lot (e.g katie price) are their own undoing, in thr fact that they end up looking way worse. i think if someone's been uncomfortable with an aspect of themselves their whole life then it's okay, for example i'd love to have my nose structured and thinned out, although i'm not uncomfortable enough with it to save thousands for surgery, but if i came across the money somehow, i'd definitely consider it.

i don't like boob jobs of liposuction. saying that, as long as a boob job is natural looking and not ridiculously big it's okay, but people tend to get, almost, greedy with it and end up with these ridiculous balloons on their chest that they almost nearly always regret. liposuction is just lazy imo.

obviously if people have been in an accident or are disfigured it's fine.

all in all, i'm not overly keen on it when it's purely for aesthetic reasons in people who look "normal" already, but can understand the rationale behind it.

what about breast reductions? people seem to forget about them and that they can cause real problems... but if i got one it would be because i want to fit in to prettier shirts, so im not going to haha

@Bethie (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=18342); i feel the same sometimes but i can't see how people do it. waking up in the morning and looking in the mirror seeing someone completely different? i think without a doubt i would regret even a minor change in myself. and another thing this is prob ridiculous but if i had a kid that wanted plastic surgery on their face and they looked like me i'd be totally offended:(

@buttons (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=42203) my view is that breast reductions are fine if your breasts are causing you back problems and such, or make you severely unhappy, but like everything else, i don't think they should be done on a whim or because you want to wear prettier clothes as it's major surgery :p

I don't see a problem with it, if you want to look a certain way and surgery is the way to do it then why should someone be stopped so long as they can afford it? Whatever makes people happy is good

Not really bothered by people that have it, I just feel that people really need to be more cautious when deciding on partaking in "plastic" surgery. People like Katie Price just have it done and don't give 2 ***** about the health risks nd it's really quite annoying to be honest. It's just ignorant. However, that's not the case for everyone aha :P

The only "plastic" surgery I would ever consider having (not sure if it counts?) is Cosmetic Dentistry to make my 2 front teeth a lot smaller. They're not massive, but they're larger than average and it really annoys me ;//// - but knowing me, I probably won't care by the time I have enough money to have it done aha.

I'd consider a boob job and botox when I'm old because a lot of wrinkles runs in my family lol, not one of those people that has botox to remove lines when they're like 20 though I think that's stupid

i've not got any problems with it really, unless they're making themselves look stupid.

for example: http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2008/09/16/article-0-02AC919A00000578-592_468x567.jpg haha, odear.

i wouldn't say i don't agree with it but i think people should only have it when they've been in an accident, or when the person is clearly severely depressed about their appearance to the point where they're like possibly suicidal.

everyone is beautiful as they are x

I really have no problem with it.

If I had the money I'd consider surgery to my body, but not my face. I think facial surgery is a whole different ball game to body surgery and personally I wouldn't want to go there. I'd consider a boob job and maybe lipo, but probably not unless I put on more weight than I have now.

Haven't got any problems with it and I don't really think I'd ever have it unless I really, really hated something.

I'm not a big fan of it, heard all the advantages and disadvantages. It has never been appealing to me and never will.
But if you want it, I wouldn't try and stop any one as it's their opinion on it.

Only if I was in an accident or medically caused (like how some women get breasts removed due to a risk of cancer then get false ones). I don't think "because you're depressed with how you look" isn't really a good reason to get it unless it is some sort of deformity affecting appearance.

i think it's a perfectly plausible reason because depression is a horrible horrible thing and i would really rather someone got up and looked in the mirror and loved themselves for having a pair of fake boobs or having their nose fixed than live their lives upset at something that CAN be fixed.

whats your views on it?

I'm like the majority of this thread like Jen for example, take Ashley Tisdale she needed a nose job to help her breathe better or something and I'm fine with that, if it is needed and will ultimately help you in the long run then why not!

I'd only have it if I needed it, I know it would pobably depend what anasthetic too (sorry about spelling) as I had an operation in July for my teeth and it took them 7 attempts (7 needle holes in my arms :'() just to find a vein even though I got told I had good veins.

If it looks natural and you can't actually tell then I think it's fine. Although I know I'm not the prettiest person around I don't think I would have it done, I'd be hypocritical as I don't wear make up don't care what I look like etc.

I'd love to have a boob job

I just don't like not being able to jump around with a pair of boobs wobbling away

it looks fun

I have had some facial plastic surgery. It is really common for teens (I had it done when I was eighteen and nineteen) to get minor things fixed now. I don't mean I had a face transplant or anything - I just had my nose and chin tweaked because it really made me upset the way they used to be.

I believe that there is a huge psychological element involved in image-altering surgery and it should be taken with care. There are far too many cases where you see people get so addicted to plastic surgery that they have spent their life savings and are still unhappy. There need to be measures in place to make sure people like that get the appropriate treatment they need instead of falling down that hole.

I don't see a problem, though, with what I did. I felt very uncomfortable with how I looked and a few minor procedures gave me a lot more confidence. In my heart I believe that everyone should feel completely beautiful the way they were born but most people (myself included) are too stuck in society's obsession with image to ignore it. In a way I am contradicting myself here - I understand I am saying one thing and I did another. The main point is that the world we live in makes it very hard to not focus on your image. There are studies that show yearly income positively correlates with 'conventionally good' physical appearance. I find that kind of thing scary. Maybe I had the procedures done out of fear or to make myself feel like I was pleasing others around me. In the end, I am not unhappy nor do I regret it. I am me and this is what happened. I am at peace.

Inseriousity.

I don't have a problem with anyone who has plastic surgery. It's their body and their choice but I personally wouldn't do it. I would be fearful of waking up not knowing whether it'd gone horribly Joan Rivers/Michael Jackson type wrong.

I think MJ's surgery was a bit overdone but I don't know enough about him to comment on why he had it done or if there were secret reasons. Call me crazy (my mom did when I mentioned this) but I think Joan Rivers is gorgeous. That is what I want to look like when I am older.

i think if people want to have it done then it's their choice, if you're not happy with the way you look then i seriously don't see a problem with it it's their money and they can choose to do what they like with it.

I think the only thing i'd possibly have done is veneers and teeth bleached they're not bad as they are at all they're quite alright but i'd just love to have them as close to perfect as possible!

We all have our own opinions.

Yeah but when your "opinion" is that a life-threatening illness which can affect every single aspect of a person isn't a good enough reason to change something aesthetic then it's obv just wrong and misinformed

If somebody wants it for reasons that are clear, like they have some sort of serious condition that affects your physical appearance, however if somebody wants it to get a chest enlargement or something similar then there is really no need for it, it is a waste of both time and money. Although to counter that one could possibly say that it is a stable branch of our economy, it brings in a lot of money and also provides many people with jobs.

whats your views on it? It's your body and money so do what you want.
would you have it? why/why not? I have an overbite and I may have corrective surgery, it will be on the N.H.S. I'm also considering having a nose job.
what do you think of it on other's? As long as you don't look like this:

http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh593/whereisthelove_x3/F_200412_december21e_77437a.jpg

then it's fine :P

I think it CAN turn dangerous though. People can get addicted and whatnot.

Oh i was just actually thinking about this and wondered what everyone else thought about it. I think if i had to id get my nose done because my nose is mucked up. but seriously plastic surgery can change everything seriously.
example Kim kardashian (had loads done)
http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcS4f2X7HTvOkl1w0O05RVW7XUQeQWy4e DGgLMXHi4rrcLDo0Woj
But then it can also go wrong , horribly wrong, which makes me not ant to do it so im not really sure that id have it done

I'm all for people being happy with themselves because everyone is beautiful in there own way but if there are unhappy enough with themselves to consider surgery then so be it. I wouldn't have it myself unless I was in an accident and I needed it. Although, I did see a plastic surgeon at one point, I didn't go ahead with it though cause the scarring would be worth than the thing I was seeing him for.

i think she was so much prettier before. i dont understand what she did to he face, her eyes look smaller and her nose doesn't fit well with her face. she looks like a robot idek. same with megan fox although i think she's pretty she was much prettier before surgery imo

I wouldn't have it done unless I had an accident or whatever like most people, but to be honest if people want it, I don't see the problem. Its their body, let them do what they want.

If someone wants to look like a cat, then who am I to stop them? :P
