I'm enjoying it much more than the X Factor, it actually has soul for music and not simple arrogance.

I think the concept is brilliant and I'm really enjoying it so far! :D
It's very good, It's good because they can not vote on sympathy but they can vote on the true talent :3
LMFAO oh my god, that was brilliant with Will.I.Am and Tom!

Also, a fabulous thing about this show is there's no adverts! (H)

Mind you I am getting annoyed by the judges arrogance, they should be saying what they would do with them throughout, not where they are themselves!
I'm watching it. I love the panel! It seems much more fresh than the xfactor. I'm liking how we get good voices as well, and not just a couple amongst a load of rubbish people during auditions on xfactor.

The Voice is going to be the new X-Factor. Its got better voices and gives you a better change to win because looks don't count.

I thought it was going to be so much better than I expected. There are some great judges but they don't really take it seriously in my eyes. will.i.am shocked me with his little comments about how amazing he is...

Loved the show, not a massive fan of will.i.am but other than that I thought it was actually really good. So much better and more interesting than X Factor/BGT.

I watched it this week but there's something I kinda don't like and that's the fact that its like a game to the judges.
There's people who are good singers and no judge turned round because they were playing off against the other and tricking them.

I didn't find it too bad especially the fact it allows proper musicians - they can play instruments and so on. And it is about the voice - I find with the x factor it's about the image and also about being current, but with the legend that is Tom Jones, they can have a variety of types.
I also think its quite funny - I know people see it like a competition but it doesn't seem as serious as the x factor - they are messing around, so there is connections with the judges. and Will.I.AM and Tom Jones incident was great.
Oh and people saying Tom Jones is too old and stuff - age isn't anything to do with sound.
bumps right, straight up yeah: i hate talent shows x factor, britains got talent, i find them cringey as **** with the sob stories and the bad musicians and the terrible filming. but the voice is genuinely good tv. and proof that anything itv can do bbc can do better.
even jessie j is growing on me, and whoever is saying tom jones is out of it: are you dumb irl. he is so massive in the music industry.

...I must not be watching it enough or the UK voice must be different, but I really like the show, and the judges( I think Adam Lamburg, Cee Lo Green, Christina Agulera, and Blake Shelton) all had really good singing careers, haven't got a chance to see any of the battles, phhfft, I need to watch it more...
Imo, I think that the people that can participate in The Voice is a little short, because it's basically saying, "Only the best" but, since The Voice reaches so many viewers, how are you going to sort the good from the bad? That's why I like American Idol or Britain's Got Talent if you will, because they allow a wider range of failures to try and convince four people. Know what I mean? The Voice only lets the very best in and basically crushes any beginner's dreams of fame. Plus, if it's 'for all ages', does that mean, like, 11 through 1000000000000000, or does it mean 18 through 1000000000000000+? Because there, again, is the shortening of how many people can enter..sorry, these are just opinions!

I actually like this show quite a lot and beats X Factor and Idol hands down. The only really downside is will.i.am's attitude - I think he talks more about himself and his success rather than the damn contestants and why he'd be beneficial to the contestant. But yes I think it's great and it really is a very selective choice of voices. :D

i would agree with this, i also think he only chose that frances girl because of what she said rather than her performance which was distinctively average.
Why is everyone so against will.i.am. He probably is the best person to make someone into a star on that panel.
Grig it's not that i'm against him i just think sometimes he harps on more about HIS potential than the potential of the artist.

I have absolutely nothing against will.i.am's success however at the end of the day they are coaches. They're meant to train you in something or teach you something. Any sport coaches I've had have never banged on about how excellent they are because at the end of the day, that does not make you progress in that region. It's what they teach you that makes you progress so perhaps he's a bit too self-centred for some of the public's liking.

I have seen him mentor on American Idol and he was excellent. They even invited him back to that show multiple times due to his success. Also, he will have a slight edge seeing as he is also a producer, whilst people like JessieJ, may be current, yes, but don't produce.
Maybe this is why I see the other side to him :P.

Perhaps but I think we'll have to agree to disagree because understandably everyone has different opinions. :P I think he has a lot of success but in a singing competition I would want to be coached or mentored by someone who doesn't mention their success every three minutes, which seems to be the case in the current blind auditions. :P

have no choice to watch whichever episode this is because my sister is watching it (recorded), but am i missing something? they won't 'turn around' for the 17 year old girl who sings amazingly, or that older woman who sings amazingly aswell, but they all turn around for the generic guy who sings a bog-standard song (with a guitar)? i mean seriously, that alone doesn't wanna make me watch this show.

Loving the Voice atm. I prefer it a lot because there is so much talent and none of the crap singers. I do think that Jessie is the most popular judge though. Tom Jones is only really for the oldies, will.i.am is kinda for the rappers or r&b styled people and danny is kinda for the like chilled out people (dno how to describe them lol)
That's just what I see anyway but I love the show and can't wait for the next round.

The problem with shows like X Factor and BGT is they raise people's hopes. What some people don't realise is the contestants on these shows actually audition for producers and so the bad ones and good ones get picked - the bad ones may think they actually have talent. Some of them aren't too bad but they get knocked out quickly. At least the people on the voice have a chance. However I do at the same time like to watch the fools on the shows making a fool out of themselves.

Yeah I did ask myself why but I wonder if its due to the fact she's not the kind of style any of the artists really work with - could be hard for them.
i think i need to start watching this soon. i know that the majority of my friends have been watching it and have said it's much better than some of the other talent contests out at the moment. i'm probably going to take a look next time it's on.

Dont really understand it, and the fact bgt is on at same time :/
The reason it is on at the same time as bgt is so it can compete with it.
The idea is simple - when they sing the judges only hear their voice and don't have a clue about what the person looks like. A lot of people on stuff like the X Factor and Britain's Got Talent get through because of their personality over their actual talent e.g. there have been lots of characters that have gotten through but actually can't sing. On here they are simply hearing the voice, hearing it sing and judging it primary on that.
Notice how all the contestants actually can sing on the show.

Haven't watched tonights episode yet, I'll catch it up on iPlayer at some point.
But yeah I'm loving this show, its got a different feel to it than what the X Factor has and the panel are actually better in my opinion. :D
i watched it for the first time tonight and i think it's brilliant, i love how they're actually judging them on their voice and not their appearance. i will probably be watching the rest of the episodes from this point onwards, it's definitely better than x-factor.

Can't wait for the last of the blind auditions and to see the final line ups. I hope the stage after the blind auditions are just as good because I have a feeling it will just be like pop idol (not x factor cos they dance on there tbh).

I hate how they put two great people together and two not so good people together. I'd rather see both the good ones in the one good one not so good.. :S
I've not been watching this one tbh, but I heard the singing is of a better standard than x factor. Is that true?

I dunno - I think it falls into the same issue as X Factor. It say's it's about the voice but really its about finding someone they can market.
I feel that now the battles are here and they know what the people look like they are judging it on more than just the voice e.g. age, looks etc. Will.I.AM seemed to pick someone just because they where young - it means he can probably mould her more.
I also preferred Vince (bare footed one) to the female singer. His voice is really powerful and he was told to not use the full of his power, yet this is a battle round so surely he should have.

i definitely agree with the bolded. they pick those (regardless of how good they are) on whether they can see the individual selling loads of records. as i've mentioned numerous times, there was that teenager who sang opera (http://youtu.be/F5KJzkunF_0) and was really good, yet they didn't pick her, essentially because she doesn't sing like the generic artists which will sell a lot of records. yeah, she wasn't absolutely amazing - but she was untrained and with guidance could of literally **** on all the other female contestants. now that automatically defeats the shows initial stance and throws it right into the same category as x-factor.

Is it just me or has it lost its edge now.
I dunno - I really liked the concept about it being about the voice - the fact that the judges couldn't here and then with the battle rounds in the ring with two acts last week it was also something different. I was kind of hoping they'd do 3 in a row and have the live shows with kind of something different to other shows but the live part feels just like the x factor.
