Didn't see a thread about this on the forum so I thought I'd post to make sure everyone watches our for this :P
Basically this is when someone says they're buying a GB for 50c or more and they put two sacks and 10 or 11 bronze into the trade and just before they click accept, they quickly take away a sack in the hope that you won't notice and as a result, you would have sold a GB for like 30c.
Make sure you thoroughly examine the trade before accepting :P
This method has never happened to me :P Thanks for the heads up ^^

Similar to the speech/coin scam where they take away their GB or Sacks, thanks for the heads up through :)

Not exactly on the topic but when you're trading, be wide awake!
Once I was making a shop and I had fountains. I had sold 3 fountains i think it was for a gb. I wasn't paying attention and as soon as I put my fountains in I accepted. Only to realise after the trade he didn't give me the gb for it. The fountains were worth over 20c aswell!
Pay attention to what you're doing, don't be fooled!

Thanks Dude, but now u have posted how to do it people might start scamming lol. Mehh?

Some people may not actually know though Jan. Just because you're fully aware about the risks of trading on Habbo and how people could scam you, doesn't mean others are.
Thanks for the heads up, Paige. :) xxx

Some people may not have been here when it was posted before. Seriously, just because it doesn't help you, that doesn't mean it won't help others.

There's 3 other threads right under this though all about quick trading :L could well have just been a thread merge is what I'm getting at.

When this scam happened to me the other person didn't even talk at all and the other threads are all about speech as well? Why pick faults when I'm just trying to help others out.. not necessary.

I know in the past I have nearly been caught by this (when I actually had credits :P) although I was rather vigilant so I didn't get scammed. Thanks for posting. :)

I think the point Georgia is trying to make is that we learn things from others or our mistakes (most of the time). Therefore if you didn't know anything about this then this thread is useful because they don't have to make that mistake to learn. It's like most things, really - we don't just know how to do them. :P
this has nearly happened to me a few times, i've not been scammed for ages tho! :o

I'm not I'm just saying the thread should be merged, as it discusses the same topic, quicktrading

I get what you're saying, but I was just highlighting this particular scam as some people are not aware of it and although they may be aware of quick trading, they still might make the mistake with this.
Thanks for the heads up! :)

Yeah this is so annoying, I always check regardless of what I'm selling even though someone did give me 70c for GB the other week and he didn't even realise, nor did I until later though.
Thanks Paige, this shows you are trading for your Rare Values Reports ofc x.
people have tried this on me, but failed haha. thanks for the heads up :-)

isn't this one of the most common, removing items while being distracted?
