car radio issues (+rep)

hey,

got a peugeot 206 a few weeks ago after writing my clio off (:(). i took out the oem radio and put my aftermarket one in which worked fine in my clio.

it works fine apart from it doesn't turn on with the ignition, i have to turn it on manually, and it's not remembering presets or settings. the bluetooth won't connect to my phone either, but i think that's related.

anyone know what the problem could be?

Could be the same issue I had. On the connections at the back, have you crossed over the what I think was the red and yellow connections? I had the same issue. If you connect everything of the same colour it wont save settings and turn on etc. Look in the manual for which colours to change on yours. Can pretty much guarantee that'll be the issue :)

As mentioned, swap the red and yellow wires around, it is to do with your ignition live.
