effective highstreet painkillers?

i'm not a druggie i promise, i just need some painkillers that work :( i had some neurofen but i don't find it works that fast.

if they're especially for throat pain that'd be super awesome, or if theyd make me drowsy that's even better. hahahahaha.

anyone got any good recommendations?

i know you said you tried nurofen but have you tried like the express ones? i had those and they worked well from what i remember. other than that, i can't think of any that are for throat pain/would work fast.

generic aspirin or paracetamol. other than that, idk.

Codeine - but be careful because it can become addictive

If you have a sore throat I'd recommend Strepsils. They'll numb your throat for a bit and they contain some form of paracetamol.

Nurofen plus have codeine in so maybe try that

When I had Tonsillitis, strepsils didn't help 1 bit. Paracetamol worked pretty quickly really. 2 every 4 hours??

a few of my friends irl have recommended the codiene to me as well so gonna hunt some out tomorrow at the pharmacy cause i'm out of ibuprofen completely now.

rob them and take some tramadol, that **** will make you drowzy.
but take some co-codamol, don't know if you can buy them without prescription though :P

For throat pain, or any pain, Prodein Forte is the strongest of the strongest. It's what hospitals use and what i have been using for the past 2 weeks. But it makes you very tired, so be careful. Otherwise you have the green/white cap Panadol & panadeine, which works. Otherwise you can get others, but will have to see a doctor first, to get a description.

I don't usually follow whatever the doctors say cause they always tell me to take paracetamol like 4 times a day with 2 pills each time. With that, I'll have like 8 pills in my body and >8 pills will defo kill me. You gotta take it within limits or else, you'll get addicted to it. The consequences are unbearable.
