the website looks extremely basic, and just very boring....

I actually think the site looks quite modern and stylish...

I love the red on black logo, but I do think there's a little bit too much text, I wouldn't want to read all that... :(

it looks like quite a nice website, but quite basic if you look at the layout and logo. :(

thanks for the comments :)

I agree it is simple but that's kindof what we were going for in designing the site. Just simple and clean. It's mainly about the community and competitions and the good chat you get from the site. Thanks again :)

dunno about anyone else but i dont like browsing sites layed out like that.
simple is good but that's too simple, the layout blends in with your background and then there's text everywhere :( you need some colour, make the important areas stand out or it looks cluttered and people won't read it.

As much as I like dark themed websites/forums, I'm not overly keen on this. Really not keen on the light grey -> black content areas, in which the background is lighter than black. Perhaps use a light shade of grey?
I hate the welcome screen, and you have far, far too much text on it.

Once getting past that screen, I think you have too many categories/forums considering you're a new site.

imo, this is good. Don't know why people are hating on it. You might wanna add some bold, underlines and all that with the text, as that looks plain. Besides that, it's like any other forum out there on the net that has nothing to do with Habbo, pretty good.

Thank you Milarz :) Thanks for the comments everyone.

I think some of the people requesting more color and stuff are used to habbo forums which try to cater towards the habbo theme which is very colorful considering just about every color you could mix up is included in the furni or the hotel somewhere.

We were going for more of a simple and clean look, something that relates to graphics in the way that some things look better just simple and clean as opposed to crowded, messy and all over the place. It's like a clean slate that you can mold into whetever you think which is how our site runs, the community wants it? They get it.

I admitt the welcome message is too long and I am going to change that next but thanks for the comments keep em coming :)

two points really - for me the site has potential but its too simple - it feels scrolling down at points just like a load of text thrown on a page.

Also in your post you mentioned an email address - a hotmail one for your site. It's a kind of pet hate of mine really - basically if your going to open a professional site with your domain set up a professional email address e.g. [email protected] - its so easy to do and just adds for me a lot more professionalism as opposed to a free hotmail account email address.
