Can we have bigger avatars please

The current 150x150 is a bit small :(

**** bigger avatars, bigger signatures, it's not as if hundreds of different members come on daily resulting in lag from all the signatures, I don't see why we cant increase it slightly, well at least the height to 250

i agree with this. i don't mind the size being 150x150, it's the file limit that's a problem.

Other forums seem to have slightly higher limits and it doesn't seem to affect loading times too much. The only problem I can see with bigger avatars is that it may start to look messy. :P

All modern web browsers cache images, it shouldn't affect them at all.

Just saw Matt's 200x200 avatar and it looks really silly as it stretches the userbit by a ridiculous amount. I don't see a problem with a higher width but a taller avatar is a bad idea.

Still want the larger file size though.

Both avatars and signatures are fine. Just seen MG testing them and it looks awful: the postbit is stretched enough as it is! :P

I would never use side post-bit but thats just personal preference haha. I don't really see the need to increase the sizes (especially signatures even though thats not being discussed here really, but yeah they are big enough). Don't think much can be achieved out of them being bigger other than it making the post-bit look a bit more stretched with more empty space. I think 150px x 150px is big enough really and if people can get by on 120 x 120 when theyre not VIP etc then I don't see what the problem is.

If you want to display a slightly bigger picture and you are VIP you could always put it in your profile picture where the biggest limit is 250px x 250px. That way we can keep the actual threads etc looking good and most the focus on the actual content and ting.

lmao i remember when there wasn't a maximum file size and i had a hugeeeeeeeeee size gif (like 36mb) and then it all went downhill from that point as it slowed ppls comps :(

I actually quite like he non sided post bit on matts example for 200 by 200, would be better I'd details were larger text to meet that though. Personally have no idea what a picture limit is as in a ludite, hut if people saying so then Ye an increase probably would be nice on that too.

Gif files work but because of the tiny filesize limit, they have to be really short or low quality. :(

Yes you are freely but when they get 4MB or more then that's just getting silly.

This is where I get a bit annoyed about the dueling file-size thing, because it seemed like something where management had all agreed on it, however if HotelUser xxMATTGxx is going to start sticking stuff changing settings on the forum because in his opinion it's cool widely supported then that's not a very good example of inter-management communication. Scott should at least be made aware if any kind of modification setting is done to changed on the forum really and he should have the power to veto anyone but GM Jin on forum issues.

Needed some minor tweaks to make it fit and to better support my wingeing well thought out argument.
