k so like the other week I done something to my hand but I don't remember what, probably hit it against a wall or something even though I have no clue how i would have done that cos why would i hit with that bit :S I dunno

but anyway i did it on the 6th and now ive got this weird funny numb nerve uncomfortable feeling in my hand

*gets out ma pointer*

ok as you can see I have circled around the main points that cause the most discomfort.

If I press down where area A is (circled in black) I get a really bad tingly nerve pain type feeling shoot up to just below my thumb. This leaves all of that area feeling alot more numb, sore and itchy for a while after

Ok now we move on to area B (circled in blue)

This area seems really sensitive, just lightly touching it gives me a small tingle but does not cause as much discomfort as area A

What I would like to know is if anyone knows what I may have done and if it may require medical attention? Cos it's been over a week and it's still the same

k im done

Thank you for listening

you might have a trapped nerve or have banged a nerve maybe? i wouldn't say it's hospital time but perhaps get down to the doctors.

I actually had something that sounded a lot similar to this the other day in round about the same area believe it or not, like I touched it and it was sort of like a sharp sensation? Have you had it since the 6th? Mine was only for like one day but if it doesn't go away go to your GP but I'm sure it's fine.

bethany; tbh I think a trapped nerve would hurt a lot more but I don't know, I'm no expert I just know my mum had one in her back and literally couldn't move and had to be rushed to hospital to undergo an operation but ye obviously it'll vary case to case.

i had that aswell when i hurt my hand 2 months ago. once my hand healed, the area felt weird/almost hurt whenever i touched it. but that feeling has gone now (went a few weeks ago afaik). so give it some time and if it hasn't' gone then go to the doctors.

i think they can vary for sure, i've had trapped nerves in my back and my wrist before (from sleeping funny) and they went by themselves in a couple of weeks, but i know fer sure of more limiting cases when they've had to have operations.

I've never had this problem before. Go to the doctors if you're worried it's something else..

ive had it since 7th

i was in hospital on the 7th and for some reason I didn't tell them about it when i asked if i was hurting anywhere so boo

ill give it a few more weeks. It's annoying because now I've got into a habit of touching it :@

Could be an RSI, I get pain in that area for a few days if I've either been playing an active game in goal, typing too much at a bad angle (my keyboard posture is terrible), or having a really vicious ****. It tends to fade anywhere between 2 and 10 days for me most of the time, but if it's a prolonged pain then I apologise for repeating the medical advice that the health forum of hxf is infamous for but you should probably see a doctor about it
