I don't remember saying it will be fixed anytime soon, I said I would try something and see what that would do. Unfortunately it isn't something I can personally fix.

You have MySQL and file access therefore it's something that you could reasonably fix? Does vbulletin not have a button to rebuild the search cache?

HotelUser has more important things to be working on which is non-Habbox related and Jin is busy.

Vbulletin does have a button to rebuild it but it takes a large amount of hours and you can't close the page.

Jin speaks sense.

Fairly sure theres an option in maintenance part (not used vb admincp in yearsssss so dont count on it)

So you can fix it, ofc it's gonna take hours to do considering the amount of posts, but it's better than a completely ****** up search.

Just post maint at like midnight and let it run over night then it'll be done by morning..

I'm not stupid, I've done that many times but it actually stops working after so long and that would normally take place when I'm in bed sleeping. Means I have to go back a page and put the last number in and leave it again for a number of hours.

Don't sleep

HxF Search > Sleep.

Do so much per night then? even if it gradually gets better over next week it's better than doing **** all and waiting on someone to come back and fix it.

Well to be fair it should be better than what it used to considering where I actually got up to.

then keep doing it until it actually works properly?

it's ******* annoying trying to find something and only threads you see are from 2008/9.

I understand but it's also annoying for me having to rebuild it when you can't close the actual page for it. I will run it once more and I will keep doing it for this week only.
