Excited? Looking forwards to it? Do you think your country will win? Discuss everything to do with the 2012 olympics here.

We're going to be over in Florida for the whole thing. Thank goodness.

The only positive to me is that the BBC has produced a reasonable comedy for it (With David Tennant narration, his narrating voice is glorious):

don't care about the uk and whether we win whatever or not. only care for the 100m finals.
I don't love/hate the olympics. I always think it's fun to get some national pride going on and I like watching some of the sports. I'll probably go hang out in the olympic park a few days just to soak up the atmosphere.
Otherwise the only insanely fab part is that I think we'll be renting out our house for it so KERCHING.
I do enjoy watching some of the sports (diving, gymnastics, long jump, javelin and short sprints) as they're really great to watch but I think I'm going to be in America for the whole time it's on so I'll probably miss it all which is a shame. :( Not bothered about who wins, I just enjoy watching it. :)
Hopefully GB will get somewhere, I'll watch most of it more than likely.

Britannia rule the waves!!!!
"Except Britannia has a slightly undersized aircraft carrier fleet which will be improved in 2014 with the first Elizabeth class aircraft carrier but will still not be quite at as awesome as the american aircraft carrier fleet!!!!!!!!!"
Doesn't quite have the same ring to it :(
I personally am not bothered about the olympics, but if im at home and there's nothing else to do or on t.v then i'll watch it - so basically i wont be putting myself out to watch it!
Here's hoping team GB will win lots of Gold medals though :)

The only time I've watched the olympics was at about 3am when I was abroad. XD
I don't really watch it tbh. I used to train for diving a lot, and I was suggested by my 'coach' to try go for the 2016 olympics, but I got a back injury from it + the bills go too expensive - so that idea quickly went out of the window!
I don't really see what all the fuss is over it. Yeah, it good all out countries are doing something together, but still. :P

Well it's not really good because you can easily guess most of the winners. It's like saying "OK we're going to have a fair competition, except we're going to win because we have better resources, more people and are always generally better".
I don't care for sport thus I do not care for the olympics as a sport even, but there is some element of pride for having them in the country.

Not really fussed about it - watching sport simply doesn't interest me. But hey, I'll still hope that GB does well at whatever they do lol.
i love watching the olympics, personally I like the field athletics side of it.
Super excited! Obviously being British it would be nice to have a win in our own country, but China will probably win.

I like the equine part the most of the Olympics but the other sports are alright.

I have no care for the Olympics, although I'll probably watch the majority of the football.
