Have you got any late bus stories? From standing for ages in the rain to two buses coming at once when they do arrive.

how random...
i live in the middle of nowhere so have to get loads of busses. i hate late busses home but i was visiting my mum in hospital on a friday so got the last one home. all these drunk guys got on and got thrown out for pissing on the bus and punching each other. apparently it's a common occurence on the weekend. how vile.

Today on the way home the bus was late by about 20 mins, then 3 came at once :l

I remember one with my friend. We were in Leeds at about 11pm, so we got the bus home and there was loads of drunk people on it trying to talk and sit with us. We got quite freaked out so we got off and caught the next one!

um i never really go on buses any more because when i do go out (very rare) i would go on the train or get driven. the only bad times it's been is when i've had to wait over 30 mins, uhh.

What would a late bus story include other than the bus being late? That's pretty much all I've experienced with late buses, I could make it exciting and add how late it was but I don't really know.

YES YESTERDAY ACTUALLY.
A friend and I were gonna get the normal one but we thought na we'll work down the hill to quieter one.... so we did.. but then we were gonna miss it so walked on to the next stop... but then it was out of order... so we ran to the next one.. out of breath yeah then it didn't turn up for another 20 mins I WASN'T HAPPY!!! apparently it was because some girl wouldn't get off the bus so they took her to the depot.. hahahaha. good thing the first bus stop was out of order though cos the bus would have missed it out if it diverted to the depot... SO YEAH.

THERE'S MY BUS STORY.

My bus was late once... I got a lift into college by either my mum or dad. Late buses do not phase me, and by the second year of college they were a thing of the past when I passed my driving test and drove in everyday :P

Your bus stop was out of order? :S Mathew

Yeah, there are roadworks opposite so they've put covers over the bus stop! :P GommeInc;

Have loads of these stories considering I got the bus to school and college for like six years straight and the bus service here is the worst in the world. It would be faster to list the amount of time the bus has been early or on time than it has been late. Latest it has been is like an hour and a half behind schedule, most buses coming at once has been three. Then the bus drivers are frickin' ***** as well. Got on the bus once and asked for a single. I give the driver my money, he gives me the ticket. I go and sit down. He calls me back up to the front, says I don't have enough for a return. I said I asked for a single. He said I asked for a return. I said I asked for a single. He said I asked for a return. Whatever happened to the customer is always right, you grumpy ****. I keep going on; I asked for a single. He says I don't have enough money for a single. I had the exact amount of money for a single, I double checked, and that's what I bloody asked for. Somehow I am magically 10p short. He gives me my money back. I just say forget it, give him supreme evils and walk off. ******* ******* ruined my day. Cut to a couple of years later. Going to college, I get on the bus, all is well. Ten minutes into the journey. Bus breaks down. Well, that's what we all assume. Because the bus just waits at the stop for twenty minutes, the bus driver doesn't inform us of what's going on, he doesn't say a single word. Unlike everyone else on the bus, who are complete idiots who appear to have just gotten the bus for no reason at all, I actually have to be somewhere, so I get up and ask what the hell is going on. The driver says there's a fault with the bus and that we can all get on the next one that comes. Why would I do that? I'm late because of you now, I might as well walk. The whole point in me getting the bus is so I can get to college on time. I ask for a refund. He says he isn't authorised to give me one. I ask why he isn't authorised. He says he isn't authorised to give me a refund. Yeah, well done, you already told me that. I ask him again, and again he says he isn't authorised to give me a refund. I say forget it, give him a look of death, turn around and walk out. I wish I could punch these people sometimes. I have loads more stories like this, but I won't go on. As you can probably tell, talking about the bus makes me angry, because I hate the bus. I really do. I've had nothing but bad experiences, and thus eventually I boycotted the service here, and haven't gotten on one of the buses in over two years and counting. Go me. The end. Death to the bus.

Once I was home sick from school and my mum's friend asked me if I could pick her kids up from school. So I went to the bus stop 5 minutes early so I wouldn't miss it, and then when it came it drove right past my stop didn't even slow down. So I had to walk down the road to a different bus stop which was a little late so by the time I was at the train station my second bus I had to get had already gone ages ago so I had to call the school tell them I was going to be late picking up the kids and then had to walk for 20 minutes, and by the time I was at the school I was dying because it was a really hot day and I was sick.

But besides that day usually the buses have been on time or only running a little late, and they've never made me late for anything.

Not had late bus problems since France in 2010.. Yeah but then it was literally two and a half hours late 'cause the bus driver stopped to have his lunch while we all waited in the pouring rain and howling wind for him............................................... ............ :rolleyes:

My city made a pretty bad choice when they bought all new busses two or three years ago. The busses were made in i place where the climiat is slightly warmer than in Sweden, so therefore they stopped functioning under about -15 degrees Celsius. All that winter the busses were terribly late...
