Has anyone ever done it?

Nope but I'd love to though, I watch all those crime docs and I find them fascinating. I just think it would be so interesting to do I hope one day I get called fourth to do it but probably wont end up happening. I know a few people who've done it though my aaunty's done it I think she said she actually thought it was good. I know someone who got in trouble for not doing it as well, you have to literally be on deaths door 'cause you have no choice in doing it or not.

I got a letter saying I have too do it, but I have a wedding that day and a holiday the next.. I need to prove I'm going to both or I get fined £1000. I'd love to do it and hopefully I can for the rest of the case!

I assume you mean jury service.
I've never done it, and would probably be terrified to, but it would be interesting because apparently "every now and again - not often, but occasionally - you get to be a part of justice being done. That really is quite a thrill when that happens."

Oh sorry! Can someone edit the title! I hope in the following weeks I can be part of it! I think I may be able to depending on the seriousness of the case

I've never been asked but I'd quite like to :) Just so you know Abbie, you cannot join a case later on. You have to be there right at the beginning and see it through.

Edited it for you. I'd love to do one but I'd want a really interesting case and I'd end up with the generic boring one probably :(

Hmmm it says here I can be granted a partial excusal if I have a holiday booked.. I'm not sure what that means
i think that means you will be excused for this case but you'll have to do another when yr back?
I'd love to take part in jury service one day, but I'm probably not the best person because I'm not very objective.

They won't fine you and will excuse you for this time, so they will let you be a jury again in the future. I may have to look it up though.

I've never been called but I would be fine with it if I was. Of course my opinions does not matter, I would have to do it :O

I've never been called to and I don't think I'd want to be. Yeah, it'd be cool but I'd be so scared.
Jury service is required in Northern Ireland and Ireland isn't it? Dilusionate; had to do it I think... I don't think people really get letters here, I haven't had one :(

I wouldn't mind doing it I guess lol... but some of the stuff people hear about when they do jury service, can really "mess you up". My mum's friend had to do jury service and she was a complete state by the time it was all "over". She couldn't discuss it with anyone either so she had no way of releasing all those memories urgh :(
I wouldn't mind, but I'm not that eager to do it lol.

Don't even talk to me about that... :/

I had to go for it when I turned 18 fortunately I never got picked the case was planned to take like 6 weeks as it was a big case that had been brought down to Glasgow from Aberdeen. It was about 2 guys who sexually assaulted about 5 or 6 children under the age of 14, I really would have hated to have done that :(
I got another letter recently asking me to tell them when I have holidays within the next 6 months

No I have never been called for it yet. My mum had to do it a couple of years back, and my dad got called but was excused due to medical issues.
I did last year, was rather fun tbh. But you do get put with some right s**** that just wanna say guilty

After watching Twelve Angry Men I decided that I never wanted to do Jury Duty, it just sounds so dull. Because you just know you'll end up with something boring like petty theft rather than a murder case. And then if it is half interesting it'll drag on for months instead.

No, and everyone saying they'd love to has no idea what it really is.
Sitting in a court house for hours upon hours for possibly 6 months to a year with a huge loss of income.

Omg I have to attend on the 11th June. I don't think they should be asking people my age anyway, it should be older people

Never been asked too, no. My friend had to go to crown court though for being a naughty boy! lol. Was proper nerve racking though having to be a witness.

Yeah, you have to be 100% certain you think someone is wrong or right.. pressure & stressful i'm sure

Would hate doing jury service, cant stand pressure and stress just literally makes me work up to such a state and get so boiling hot, would probably end up screaming in frustration too ;(
