Another day, another Events Organiser bites the dust. When are Habbo going to wake up to the fact that Habbox.com is an official fansite and not a retro? This must be the 4th or 5th EO that's been banned until 2023 recently due to the moderators' complete lack of understanding. I usually just get on with things, but their sheer incompetence is baffling. Absolute rubbish, sort it out Habbo.

It really stupid and hopefully it'll get sorted, until then you'll just have to be careful what sites you advertise in case habbo get all ban happy and decide to slap a perm on you.

This is absolutely ridiculous. How can they label one of their own official fansites as a habbo retro? Bit stupid.. :l

Stupidity once again, label Habbox us a fansite then call it a retro? No more needed to said.
Stupid, surely the MODS should know what the fansites are

A while ago they did use a mod warning saying 'we do not ban for the advertising of official fansites' guess that changed.

Well I guess I won't be promoting Habbox anymore :P. Make sure you can explain to them what happened and hopefully you will be unbanned.

I've said Habbox links before and I wasn't banned,
whats the deal?
I can perfectly understand how they would THINK its a Habbo Retro simply because its got habbo and then x. STupid reason really though. Habbo needs to pull it together or someone getting fishslapped/whacks into the age of common sense!
Edit: I bet they don't even check the site to make sure its actually a fansite :O

Luckily, EatenPizza; has been unbanned so I'm glad they noticed their mistake quite early on! Still, it's an absolute pain that it keeps happening.

It can't take that long for the moderators to click on a link and check it leads to a fansite, and it also cannot take them that long to look at the list of "official" fansites. Ctrl + F and type the name of the fansite should also help with that issue.
But yeah, these moderators really need to be sorted out on this issue again.
Thought I'd never say this, but I actually want the Singaporean Moderators again x.x at least this issue was fixed with them. But of course, the moderators before the merge were the best lol.

Least they knew their mistake within a few hours, previous mods you wouldn't have heard from for weeks. I know it shouldn't be happening but at least it was quickly sorted in some cases.

Yeah I suppose the "quickness" of the issue is a good thing lol. We'll never win really - old mods/customer support eventually acknowledged their mistake but took ages to unban the accounts.... new mods take less time but haven't acted on the issue again.
Are the mods still in Madrid? I have no idea anymore.
It's dangerous times to be an event organizer clearly LOL.

I hope that Matt has sent a note to relevant people at Habbo (Where possible), they seem to want to be encouraging fansites again so they'll probably understand this as a serious issue.

I sent Paul a tweet as well and he said spamming website links aren't allowed regardless of destination, not really the point but if a habbo moderator sees a link saying "habbox" being spammed in a room it does look kinda like a phishing attack. I guess the lesson here is that moderators are rushed and EOs need to watch out for how much they say links.
Its bad that, did you appeal yet?
