I was planning to get a Macbook but then I thought to myself that it's far too much money and I can get a decent PC for half the price. I'm willing to spend around £300 - £400 on it so can anyone give me any ideas on what I can buy for a all around good laptop for everything really. At the moment I have a Netbook which crashes quite alot and has hardly any memory or storage.

Thanks!

I don't really have a specific model to recommend but if I had to get a laptop I would go with an HP. I have had my HP laptop for quite a while it runs smoothly and effectily. Also HP has fantastic customer support.

I'd never buy a laptop from a smaller retailer like Novatech.

My first port of call would be Dell (http://www.dell.co.uk), and then second HP (http://www.hp.co.uk).
