So, we are nearing the end of the season ...

We now have the final games of the League one & Two this weekend ... the cup final, the play-offs, premier league games!

Is your team involved in any game within the next few days? Whats your predictions or hopes?

---

Sheff utd are away at Exeter for the final League one game of the season.

We need to have some help from Wycombe this weekend for the chance of Automatic promotion ... should Sheff Utd win and Sheff Wed drop points then we get promoted!

I predict a 3-1 sheff utd win, but also a sheff wed win ... which means the play-offs for us.

I disagree with that prediction just because they slapped dundee 5-0 doesn't mean motherwell will take one too.

Telford & Peterborough's season is over, unfortunately.

I like Crewe's style of play, so will listen to them today.

Don't know if many of you saw this earlier, but obviously people dress up for last game of the season; Hartlepool had 170 identical smurfs travelling to Charlton today!

I was right. Motherwell relying on counter attacks and lots of all the bodies behind the ball defending denied rangers all their chances, including a penalty claim.

Liverpool will win 2-1.

nice goal from chelsea, unexpected.

Liverpool are appalling...

Downing and Enrique especially.

Ramires is such a good player though. What a buy he was!

Carrol really came into his own today, shame about the line save by Cech, one of the best saves I've seen. Liverpool really need to rebuild, half the players are below par.

What a save from cech. What a save!

Not sure if it crossed the line or not. Obviously as a chelsea fan I'd go towards that it didn't, but it was really close. Liverpool were unlucky but it should not take a team like Liverpool 60 minutes to start being able to pass the ball and attack with intent. For the first 60 minutes anyone could have beaten liverpool.

Gutted about the defeat, cech deserves full credit for saving that, I noticed immediately the power on the headed shot from Carrol and how anybody could possibly save that is beyond me...

We SHOULD of gone to extra time :O

I disagree, I think the decision was right. AFAIK the full ball has to go over and that's partial

The whole ball is not across the line?

The whole ball is not across the line?

I'd say it is, based on the fact that angle is probably a little bit off the line too.

We drew 2-2 at Exeter.. We now play Stevenage in the play offs next friday.

Has to be WHOLE of the ball over the WHOLE of the line, would have hated to be the official who had to make the call but he did get it right, truly incredible save. Don't think anyone else in the world would have got to that

Deak

It was a tough call for the linesman ... Especially at full speed. If they are not 100% sure then they cant give the goal.
In my opinion, i think that the whole ball is not over the line meaning the linesman got it correct.

Correct decision. Awaiting a full scale campaign for goal-line technology, scousers robbed, jft96, blahblah.

Todays games;

Newcastle 0-2 Man City
Villa 1-1 Spurs
Bolton 2-2 WBA
Fulham 2-1 Sunderland
QPR 1-0 Stoke
Wolves 0-0 Everton
Man Utd 2-0 Swansea

Man city and Utd were both boring games imo. League is in Citys hands, and they know if they can beat QPR next week - the title is theirs.

UNLEASH THE YAYA!

Bring it home boys.

I can see us smashing QPR 4-0.

Today's Results(so far)

West Ham 3-0 Cardiff (5-0 on Aggregate) Championship Playoff Semi Final
Mansfield 0-1 York (AET, York win 2-1 on Agg) Conference Playoff Semi Final
Wrexham 2-1 Luton (Luton win 3-2 on Agg) Conference Playoff Semi Final

Not sure how many of you follow/care for non-league football, but this means Luton v York for the playoff final. It also means York play at Wembley twice in 8 days(FA Trophy final & Playoff final).

Later tonight;

Blackburn v Wigan - Blackburn MUST win to have a chance of surviving on last day.
Hibs v Dunfermline.

Always thought West Ham would get to wembley & they deserve it too.

Not too bothered about non-league football, but good luck to who ever does win!

IF Wigan win they are safe & Blackburn are relegated
IF its a draw - Blackburn are down & Wigan fight on to the last day
IF Blackburn win - they must go to Stamford Bridge (Chelsea) & win to be in with a chance.
