Half-Blood; The Vampiric Tales

[I'd like to say thank you for the film, 'Constantine' for being a great inspiration for my story] ;P

It was past midnight and the air was thick and cold. A slim young woman called - Kayuka was slowly walking amongst the alleyways of New York. Her hair was glistening in the moonlight as its electric blue shot of colour merely looked like it reflected the light. Kayuka's eyes grey as the muddy dim puddles, her skin as white as alabastor; She was one sight for sore eyes.

As she trembled, shaking nearly pacing through the shadows a hand grabbed her right shoulder. Swiflty with a sharp turn to her left raised her left hand ready to wap the person on the face until she stopped dead. Frozen. The person she was looking at was no human; but a glaring handsome young vampire with fanged-canines pointing out of his mouth a tiny bit. He had hold of Kayuka's left arm, smiling at her in a devious heart melting way, his husky voice whispered to her seductively,

"Well well, Kayuka. Its a bit dangerous for a glacail beauty like you to wander the streets.. ALONE" His bitter voice bit right through Kayuka, she shuddered.

"Seth!" Kayuka whispered loudly, "Why are you following me!?"

Seth did not reply he just wrapped his warm arm around Kayuka's waist and pulled her in, his warm breath enchancing Kayuka's face. She clenched her eyes shut squirming out of his grasp. She finally got free and started to run from Seth. But it was hopeless. With the power of a Vampire Lord, Seth simply raised his hand and used his 'TK' to pull Kayuka back to him.

"You know I need you Kayuka, the vampire world needs you" Seth exclaimed.

"Lies! All lies! The Vampire world does NOT need me, i'm nothing specail" Replied Kayuka,

"Oh quite the contrary my pretty friend, The world of Ferius has chosen you specaily to fight beside us in the great battle of the Half Bloods" Seth chuckled, "The perfect oppatunity",

Kayuka stared at him vaguely,
"But why me?! I posses no powers! I can't fight Half-Bloods, they are way to powerful for me and you know that!" Kayuka moaned.

"But - Kayuka, you have something in you that no other Vampire has, you may not be a Vampire but you have something inside you that all of us want; Something we crave for so long and it never came to our beck and call" Seth said smirking deviously.

"And what is that?" Kayuka asked.

"The ability to use all Vampire powers; Not just the set chosen ones that we have to do; You can do all! ALL!" Seth shouted, his deep voice echoing around the walls of the alley. Kayuka paused and looked at the ground, she shuffled her feet and looked up. To her amazement Seth was taking a great intrest on looking at her own neck, she rubbed it lke Seth's glare was burning a whole through it.

"And if I come?" Kayuka asked un-easily,

"There is no if!" Seth shouted smiling more than ever, with a quick pounce into the air Seth slammed his weight down on Kayuka, he grabbed her hair and pulled her head back, "You are going to join us; and when I bite your soft neck you will have no recolection of this when you wake up in.. Ferius" Seth whispered in her ear, his mouth so close to her neck. She squirmed but couldn't break free this time. Seth's eyes glowed a deep red, he opened his mouth and the fangs started to grow out, with a quick jab the teeth were in sinking deep into Kayuka's neck, when Seth was done he stood up and looked at the unconcious girl lying on the floor. He smirked one last time and disapeared in a puff of black smoke.

Chapter 2; Lost



"Ugh.." Kayuka murmered under her breath as the faint smell of ash whiffed across her nostrels. Her head was pounding violently. She propped her self up rubbing her eyes, as she opened them infront of her was a vast tall standing city that looked somewhat like New York but 'Hell and Fire' version. She frowned, wundering why she was here. How did she get here? She asked herself repetitively.



"Kayuka" A familar voice said from behind her, she turned her head and looked at Seth. At this moment in time, she does not remember what happened to her in the Alley; Nor does she remember Seth. This was all new to her.



"He-Hello?" Kayuka said rubbing her head, still frowning.



"Good morning Kayuka, I am Seth" Seth said bowing at her feet. Kayuka looked around.



"This is morning?! Its too dark to be morning!" said Kayuka.



"Its always dark here; here in the city of Ferius, and this is where you belong from now on" Seth whispered quietly. His cold blue eyes shined like stars as they looked upon Kayuka. Kayuka hesitated for a second, thinking whether she should ask Seth why she is here, but as always; Thought she could ask him later.



"Come on Kayuka, you have a lot to see and learn" Seth smiled, he held out his hand for Kayuka to grab. Kayuka looked at the hand like it had a disease, but nevertheless placed her soft hand in Seth's.



They both walked over the vast hills and paths until they reached the outskirts of Ferius. Kayuka realised that everytime they got closer the warmer it got.



"Nearly there" Seth said tugging on Kayuka's fragile hand. Evenutally they reached an extremely tall building with the words, 'The Grand Vampiric Order', suddenly with the sound of 'Vampire' echoing in Kayuka's brain she had a sudden flashback, the words and images flashing and murmering in her brain; 'Vampires, Ferius, come with me, Its your DESTINY, Kayuka, KAYUKA... KAYUKA!" the images still flashing in her mind like an old movie. she sighed heavily, but Seth paid no attention and dragged her into the building.



"Stay put" Seth said, placing Kayuka in reception.



Kayuka sat on her seat holding her head in stress.



"Oh my gosh! Its her, the one they've been talking about!" shouted a Plump woman to her snny twig like friend. Kayuka looked up and frowned, what did they mean, 'Its her'? Is she someone specail? The fact is, WHO was she? She had no clue!



"Disorienation love, you'll get used to it" said a faint jeery voice not to far from her.



Kayuka turned her heavy head to the right to see a girl about the same age as her (18 years old) who had blonde mid-length hair and an extroidinary complextion; her figure wasn't too bad either, she was simply stunning.



"The names Lyla" Lyla said leaning over with her hand ajar, Kayuka shook her hand but never gave her name, "You're a new one aren't you?"



"A new what?" asked Kayuka.



"Oh god. You don't know what you are?! Man, don't the Guardians tell you anything around here?! Don't you have an escort?" Lyla jeered.



"You mean Seth?" replied Kayuka.



"OH MY GOD! SETH!? Girl you are so lucky! Seth is one hot guy, all the Vampiresses want him; they are way out of his league, he's like thee most dreamiest guy in the whole of Ferius" Lyla shouted loudly, a few weird looking women staring at her.



"Vampiresses?" Kayuka said with question and thought.



"Yeah..." Lyla raised her eyebrow, "See.." Lyla opened her mouth and flashed a good shiny white set of fangs. Kayuka stared at them in envy. Moving closer to to Lyla raising her hand to touch them.



"Nah-ah! No touchy!" Lyla said snappily, slapping Kayuka's hand away, "You never touch a Vampire's fangs, you could cause serious damage"



Kayuka moved back to where she was and glanced at Lyla with great confusion.

"Would you be able to tell me what a Vampire is?"



Lyla jumped to the idea.

"OF COURSE!" She smiled broadly, "Vampires; blood of the night, killers of daemons"



Kayuka stilled look confused, but Lyla till rambled on.



"What i'm saying is, Vampires are males and Vampiresses are females; they fight Angels from Heavan and Daemons from hell; We are stuck in between, we are not Half-Bloods or Half-'Breeds' if you wish, since we do not hold any similarities to Angels or Daemons, our destined place is be inbetween Angels and Daemons; but the only thing that gets in our way is the Half-Bloods. Half-Bloods are shape-shifters, they can adapt to anything or anyone; the only thing they can't adapt to is the personality and characteristics of the person they chose to shift into; They are very strong and not easy to defeat, and thats why the Vampire Emperor - Emperor Kyo has been ordering his Guardians to collect humans from the planet they call 'Earth' and turn them into vampires; If we get defeated by the Half-Bloods, the balance between Heavan and Hell shall fall and the destiny of Earth is in the Half-Bloods hands, and they hate Humans they cannot turn humans into themselves; Thats why if they get their hands on Earth, Heavan and Hell shall crumble; since we hold the responsibilities of the Angels and Daemons fate" Lyla explained.



Kayuka looked at Lyla in shock yet somewhat amazement, being a Vampire sounded so interesting, so tempting, so powerful.



"Am I a Vampire?" asked Kayuka.



"It depends on your name me' dear" Lyla replied, "What is your name?"



"Kayuka" replied Kayuka.



Lyla stared at Kayuka, her eyes so wide like she was going to die.



"Yo-you? YOU'RE KAYUKA?" Lyla smacked her hand to her head, "Oh gosh! This is.. a pleasure to meet you!" Lyla smiled mentally shaking Kayuka's hand fastly.



"What do you mean?" Kayuka asked, releasing the grip of Lyla's hand.



"WHAT I MEAN? GOD DAMN IT GIRL! DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE?!" Lyla shouted, Kayuka shook her head, Lyla gasped, "You are the Vampiress or all vampires! Coming to this world means you overthrow the Emperor! You hold so much power we do not! You can do every power you wish, everything!"



"Even Immortality?!" Kayuka shouted.



"Immortality... well, thats another subject; your mind isn't educated wel enough yet, come back to me sometime and ask me" Lyla said, "But from now on, Kayuka, i'm protecting you with Seth around or not... friends?" Lyla smiled.



"Friends" Kayuka smiled back.

Chapter 3; Emporer Ryo


Kayuka sat on her seat fumbling her fingers around; she couldn't wait to see what was going on. Why was she here afterall? Was she really the Vampire Lyla said she was?

Eventually Seth appeared un-smiling.

"Kayuka, please follow me" He said sternly.

"Where are we going?" asked Kayuka

"To meet the Emperor; I must clarify with you first that you must not look at him directly unless he asks you to" Seth replied.

Kayuka nodded and they both headed off up the tall winding building. As they stood there in the lift there was an akward silence between Kayuka and Seth. With them standing far away as they could they still managed to give themselves stares when each of them wasn't looking.

They arrived on the 65h floor; The last floor of the whole building. Seth gestured Kayuka out of the lift and to a huge wooden door that had gold inscripted words on that Kayuka couldn't understand.

"What does that say?" Kayuka asked pointing at the golden words, for the first time in an hour Kayuka saw Seth smile.

"In the name of god; Open this door" Seth spoke clearly, and suddenly the wooden door start to jitter. It swung open and there before them was a huge grand room. Red and white silk cusions on the cold un-scratched marble floor. The walls were pure black and had old paintings of Vampires she had never seen before.

"Step into my office" came a sly voice infront of them. They both looked forward and there stood Emperor Ryo. He bowed his head politely and looked at Kayuka with his extroidinary amber eyes.

"Seth leave. Kayuka please come forward" Ryo said swiflty. Seth gave him an angerful look but nevertheless turned around and walked out the room.

Emperor Ryo was quite an attractive man; He didn't look old at all, but he had a good set of strong muscles on him. He had lovely amber eyes and black hair that shaped his face perfectly.

"Hello Emperer Ryo" Kayuka said kneeling on the floor bowing her head.

"Hush child, you may call me Ryo; Stand up" Ryo said calmly. Kayuka stood up and stared at his eyes, Ryo's eyes seem to pull her in, "Welcome Kayuka, i've been expecting you"

"Yes, erm... why am I exactly here?" Kayuka asked.

"You are here to help us fight; You are here to lead us to victory" Ryo answered.

"Lead 'us' to victory? What do you mean?" Kayuka asked again.

"My my Kayuka, you ask too many questions; All your question will be answered in good time.. meanwhile..." Ryo said staring at Kayuka with a 'Oh-your-so-mine' look. He had a sudden attraction toward Kayuka, which she herself was easily picking up on. She felt uneasy; so she started to walk back. But Ryo continued to walk forward. He grabbed her hand and pulled her in roughly.

"But for now, my dear Queen; The only thing you'll be leading is me and you" Ryo said bitterly, smirking wildly. Kayuka frowned. Ryo knew this wasn't going to be easy so he placed his two fingers on Kayuka's forehead and murmered, "Aku Ryo Taisan" with a brief swish of pain, Kayuka was now under Ryo's control for a short period of time. She tried to stop herself but Ryo had her body like a puppet on a string. He pulled her head back and smelt her soft neck, it smelt of roses; the only smell he longed to smell for so many years.

"You're mine" Ryo whispered, and he started to kiss Kayuka's cheek, moving his soft lips onto hers she tried to pull off but couldn't.

"NO! GET OFF PLEASE!" Kayuka shouted, and within that moment Seth bursted into the room. He frowned at the sight of Ryo and Kayuka in the position they were in. Seth walked over to them both and grabbed Kayuka's hand and dragged her out of the room. With Kayuka still in a state of shock Ryo just chuckled evilly.

"You shouldn't touch her Ryo; She's not yours so don't think she is" Seth shouted and left the room with Kayuka.
