Rules:



No Griefing -
Destroying anyone's creations on the server is not acceptable. People who grief other peoples creations will be banned from the server.

Do not use cheats, hacks or exploits of any kind -
This also means the use of modified clients to give the user any advantages is also banned. We do allow the use of Minimaps but anything else is not acceptable.

No Advertising -
We do not allow you to advertise other minecraft servers.

Treat all members with respect -
We do not want to see arguments on the server. Treat other players the way you would like them to treat you.

Swearing -
We do allow swearing on the server but please do remember that young people can also play Minecraft so please try and not swear a huge amount.

No Stealing -
You must not steal items or animals from other players without asking permission. If you would like something of theirs then it would probably be best to ask them first.

We also DO NOT allow the following:

Racism
Asking for Admin/OP/Staff
Impersonation of staff or players

Note: Installed a plugin that checks the connections of anyone attempting to login. It shouldn't affect anyone who has been using the server already - If anyone has any issues connecting then just reply to this thread and we'll get it sorted.

Note 2: We are still on 1.4.7 you can downgrade by downloading http://assets.minecraft.net/1_4_7/minecraft.jar - Put this in: C:\Users\*YOUR USERNAME*\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin and overwrite the current file. This will let you connect to the server. We'll update to the latest version once Bukkit has released an update.

Anyone tried using those daylight sensors they added in 1.5? They are pretty sweet and ideal. Especially when you can make them into night sensors so when it turns night you can have lights come on.

I hope we don't get rid of hoppers, because I've spent ages setting up an automatic farm with tons of hoppers, I've wasted so much iron on them if they're made useless. Obviously the best method would be to get hoppers only working for chests you own, but I don't know if that's possible...

In regards of hoppers, they currently aren't banned. I have been looking into a long term fix and I do believe a development build of LWC actually stops the whole stealing stuff from protected chests. So I will most likely try that sometime this week or even today and see what happens.

(LWC is the plugin that is used to protect chests, doors etc etc)

Yes :P Basically, a survival game within a specified boundary, the recent videos take place in a 2000x2000 square, and it's last man standing. Unlike the hunger games, you can break blocks and craft, so it becomes like vanilla minecraft if you want to survive, but health regeneration is disabled (even at full hunger), so you have just 10 hearts. You can only regenerate health by creating a golden apple, which requires 8 gold ingots instead of 8 gold nuggets. Or creating a health potion, which requires a gold block instead of a gold nugget.

So essentially, skeletons are super bad, since they will deplete your health very quickly. Fall damage becomes an issue. Finding gold is probably more important than finding diamonds, and of course, avoiding other players :P

The current series of UHC that many famous YouTubers has a different twist, usually it's last man standing, but this time around the winner is the team which kills the ender dragon first. So they've had to go into the nether to get blaze rods, and have had to farm endermen. The usual version though is just people trying to be the last man standing :)

EDIT: Oh, and finding stuff like Desert Temples can be a real game changer, because of the amount of gold they can contain in chests :)

Oh, and other things I forgot. Ghasts drop gold instead of ghast tears, players are randomly scattered across the map at the start, so you can't follow players (as you can in hunger games) :)

And xxMATTGxx; I can't do weekends :P I think games could easily be played in the evenings, and if people have to leave, ah well :P Maybe the first few games can just be practice as people get used to the strategy required :P

Skype is usually used for team games, but most games aren't team games :P As far as I'm aware, there's no chat plug-in included...

What would be great is to do a race for wool tournament between us all. Its a map where two teams race down identical mirrored lanes to get the three pieces of wool with arrow pvp between the two lanes. Anyone interested in that? Plenty of videos on Youtube :)

You could do race for wool without PvP easily :) Also if you did race to kill the ender dragon (UHC or not), then there's an issue if two teams get to the ender dragon at the same time :P I think Race for Wool would work great, we could have so many teams of 2 or 3, and either have a knock out tournament or a round robin tournament :)

From what I can tell they are going to be releasing 1.6.2 at the start of next week? Might wait until then before we even think about updating the main server. I'll be looking into it more this evening/weekend anyway. Will give you an update later on.

Bukkit/SpigotMC just currently have development versions out at the moment.

We're looking into using the multi-world plugin, as we have in on CI but only for creative. I would like to see PvP & HC-PvP, Skyblock, Mob Arena & maybe later on, a Prison server of some kind.

CreeperIsland.com and the Minecraft server has now been transferred over to the new server successfully. We have changed the DNS on the domain to point to the new IP address and this should take affect in a matter of hours. It is actually done already but for some users it may take a few hours for the DNS propagation.

We are still doing work on the server as there is still quite a bit to do. Especially in terms of the configurations, permissions and making sure the plugins all work as they should on the new server. Please bare with us while this work is being carried out.

I play on CreeperIsland and I recently stopped playing for a bit, and I come back on to find my farm griefed and my mob grinder destroyed.

Some of the players on the server did help me re-plant but I still think that the person that done it should be banned, and If possible can I get another mob grinder.

on Eions point, we are going through a whole new bunch of changes to make creeperisland more entertaining for everyone! Our new PvP server is being edited and new builds will appear shortly, and we are looking forward to releasing our minigames world as soon as possible (any games suggestions would be smashing!)

slowly but surely, we are rebuilding a more varied community and I'm so looking forward to seeing as many people contribute as possible :)

Yesterday at 22:38:35 TheGarner logged into the server and started to run various commands to try and destroy as much of the Minecraft server that he/she can possibly do in-client. Now you're thinking: So you destroyed your own server? Technically no it wasn't me personally. It was a user using an exploit to damage CreeperIsland.

There is an exploit out there for minecraft servers that lets you log in as other users and once you have logged into users who have OP or Admin permissions then you can do quite a lot of damage. They also logged into Toms (Skynus) account as well. This exploit was posted 10 days or so go on PlanetMinecraft but due to the fact of me being away due to a family death, busy and other stuff no one actually realised until today when the server crashed. Thankfully the exploit was only used yesterday and it was noticed today when the server crashed. We do have some good news though, read below for the rest of the information.

By the looks of the logs I have been reading any protections to chests/doors and so on made by LWC have been cleared.

[I]Note: We have only noticed the above taking place. Other parts of the server could be damaged as well.

Can it be fixed?

We can fix the worlds and bring the 'deleted' worlds back. We can bring back all the worlds by using a bacup that took place at 22:16 14/09/2013. At this moment in time we cannot bring back the protected chests/doors with LWC. If you notice any other problems that might have been caused by this please do let us know when it is back up and running.

What's happening now?

Restoring and updating the core server and plugins.

All chests that were protected with LWC by any user. I suggest you come online now and protect them again to be on the safe side if possible.

Hello Everyone, as of like just now Minecraft has auto updated to 1.6.4. Unforunatly most servers are 1.6.2, so until they change over to 1.6.4 the only was to access them is by doing the following


In the Minecraft launcher, before you go in to Minecraft, click "Edit Profile" on the bottom left. Then, about halfway down, select "1.6.2" in the dropdown menu and save profile and continue like normal.

Minecraft is doing a weird thing. 1.6.3 is the officially released version and is not downloadable. Any server updated to 1.6.3 cannot be accessed.

It's been a while since we have done an update in regards of the forum and the Minecraft server. We have decided to bring back the forum as this will be the number one contact point for anything in regards of the server and the community itself. We are also planning on updating the Minecraft server to 1.6.4 before the week is over.

Finally we have updated! Nagging does work. When I get my internet back online (have to say this last few months have been awful in regards to my technology) I will hopefully be hosting some form of user survey to get peoples views on what thye want on the server. More on that soon! :)

Alrighty, so for the past few weeks the Server Spawn has been total crap. In all honesty this is hurting the server as it is the first look at the server and especially when the first sign you see is "you not supposed to be here". To be honest if this was the first thing I saw I would move onto the next server. Also after the weird glitch and everything was trashed and the server was setback to an earlier date, the server spawn was no longer Grief Protected, Pvp was enabled and most importantly the Teleports to each world have failed and no longer work. I know this wasn't no one's fault directly, but it should have been dealt with asap.

Before the week or two that we had to wait for the server to be updated to 1.6.4 we have a good 5-10 people on regularly on peak hours, but lost almost all as many didn't know how to or refused to switch over to 1.6.2 so they could continue to play CreeperIsland. It is very hard to welcome new players to come and join myself and Simon(lsimon) aka Re-Call; when they can't even get past the Server Spawn.

What we need to do is have an incentive for people to join the server and to stay, such as daily gifts for logging on that day. Also to advertise it on Habbo/x and maybe some other sites if possible. We need spawn fixed and thats about it. Also some Mini-Games would be awesome.

Ye so this might not make total sense or flow cuz I was distracted and came back to this several times.

I think the world reset was happening when 1.7 is released. It has lots of terrain updates so it makes complete sense really. No idea if its still happening though!

'This is late, very late. I have had no internet for 2 weeks, so I've only just got round to doing this:

Server spawn area has been grief protected and fully fixed, w/ working portals. Glitch in the spawn protector caused people to have the ability to break and edit blocks etc. All Sorted

Minigames world is starting to be built and put together this afternoon (and continuing for the next week), any suggestions would be grateful
In addition, the moderation and administration will be reviewed in the coming weeks and changes will be made!'

Would it not make sense to just restart the survival world? Would put resources back into the game and stop people from transferring builds with diamond blocks etc over. Would make it a lot more fair etc.

@Skynus (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=66909); I think you're better just giving Admin to two people. Most people ask "Whos admin" anyway. Plus you & Matt did the job pretty well together, whereas Jazz was up against it by his/herself soz Jazz can never remember lol.

Give one admin technical access (someone you can trust and who actually has a clue, maybe Jord oi oi) and give admin to somebody who can focus on the community side of things. Also if you give it to one admin, at least you know which one has been a complete *******.

Also I agree with @Kardan (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=3428); but archive the old survival, create a new survival and port over any builds (if you can).

I'm all for a fresh beginning and new world nice fresh change!

I can definitely see why people would want to keep their buildings so have no argument against that. I would personally just feel a little cheaty if I had any of my stuff moved over, and would just personally prefer a complete restart for myself.

Alright, Matt and I will try and make a decision tonight I guess - but no promises. The server will most likely be reset when 1.7 comes out (that's almost a certainty) and the newly appointed manager(s) will then have free roam on whatever they want to do with it. Then we have someone to blame when it messes up ;)

We're going to try and move over as little as we can, as a new fresh for the new management would be better. If anything does need porting over though, it'd probably be better to speak to myself or Matt, so the server doesn't **** up. BUT THAT'S IN A FEW DAYS HOPEFULLY, SO IT'S FINE.

We have built quite a nice area and we've spent probably over 100 hours on it in the last 3 months. Would hate for it to be destroyed and all of our hard work put to waste. I really find it unfair on how people who haven't even thought of going on the server for months now suddenly have a stronger influence on the server then the people who have stayed loyal and supported the server.

When it comes to it, the newly appointed Server Manager j0rd;, Matt and myself will discuss what will happen, and if we want buildings moved over. Until then, nothing is set in stone.

Oh and if you didn't notice everyone, Jord is now the Server Manager for Community. Not sure on Technical yet, but we'll see if someone comes along. If not, we can teach Jord I guess!

I'm completely for a fresh restart and also looks like the majority are? There may be difficulties with porting over in 1.7 as it is anyway with the world gen differences? So better to stay on the safe side.

You do realise most minecraft servers will wipe their entire map for a brand new one after so long right? Shame, they should have done it so all previous worlds and creations ****** up in the new version.

So Admins.. just get rid of the whole thing get rid of all builds & stuff... start a fresh & lets all hope CreeperIsland gets popular and not turn into ruins.
But please who ever will be in charge... hire a lot of god damn moderators who are active and are dedicated members that can be online in a range of time zones nothing worst than people coming on and finding things have been grieved and nobody can help.

I only play on and off really, I spent a lot of time building an entire train system on the creative world but I would be fine starting again, I usually start doing something news every time I play anyway!

Yeah all the different worlds and plungins do get a little complicated.

Have quite a few ideas for the server which I will post tomorrow :)

j0rd; xxMATTGxx; Skynus; Would I be able to bring over one of my most precious builds? Its in a flat zone and is about 15x15 which is around the size of a Lot in town. Since its on flatland It wouldn't mess up the new worlds and we could put it in the new town. Anyways I've come down a lot and Tbh it would look great in the town! Another Option I could put forward is to Copy the player data over to the new world. So all our inventory Items will be brought over so people can bring over any presious materials over with them. Tbh I think thats the best option as everyone gets a chance to bring over some tools, ores, and materials over with them. Anyways tell me what you plan on doing asap so I can get Simon and myself prepared for it.


Also as Jazz said b4, We would love to help out on building a spawn or anything for the server!

Claim blocks and the like will definitely stay. It'll be better if they're implemented from the start with a new fresh start, instead of part way through like the last time.

Just for arguments sake, I stayed up for about 12 hours building something, getting stressed over redstone not working and figuring out different things; having falling walls and secret doors, etc. but that's all going to. Yet, it's just time to start something new. :P

I'd rather not go messing around with different files to allow TNT, etc. and would prefer to keep a backup of the world as it is - just in case.

When you see a 1.7 version then, but even then initial dev builds are typically unstable/unreliable.

Today theres been a few updates to 1.6.4-R2.0

Basically 1.7.2 is a great update, HOWEVER, it was such a big change and the coding sites didn't get enough notice to actually release all the mods at once which is a real shame... MC should've waited and given MCP chance to sort stuff out :( But that's just me.

I'd love to build a jungle village with hanging flowstone lights and wooden walkways going from tree to tree… except for that nothing!
My internet has been down since sunday & when it comes back It's been weak… so my dads been onto Virgin Media and they are upgrading out service so we get a new super hub & for them to come check out whats causing our slow or even lack of wifi signal in our house!

Since Minecraft 1.7.2 was released on October 25th we've been working hard towards a CraftBukkit for Minecraft 1.7.2. As we're working with the Minecraft code base which we have no control over, there is no reliable way to determine a communicable ETA until all the work on the update is actually completed.

Rest assured, we have been hard at work on the update since it came out and are continuing to push towards our first (unsupported) development build.

You can run a 1.7 Minecraft server using the default server file Mojang supplies when they do a new version. This will give you the option to run a basic Minecraft server.

Most if not nearly all servers that you see advertised around the internet will probably use Bukkit or some other form of server project. This then gives the admins of that server a hell of a lot more customization and lets you run a wide range of plugins. Due to the fact CreeperIsland use these plugins we haven't been able to update.

Just to let you all know where we currently are.

Hopefully, today we shall be fully updating CreeperIsland to 1.7.2. This means the server will be down for some times as this is a huge maintenance with what we're planning on doing with it as well (maps, plugins, etc.) - we can't promise it will be back up today (once we've started work) but we'll try and keep you updated and do it as fast as we can. :)

In answer to your questions about plugins: not so sure just yet. Your spawn still exists, it's just currently on a private/hidden world. :)

Okie thanks tom, btw me and Simon haven't finished it entirely so whenever we can get on finishing it would be great! Btw the current spawn needs to be fixed, someone griefed part of it. I acientally broke one block checking to see if its still greifable. Also could u maybe just place a bunch of torches around the whole place so when people spawn they arnt instantly killed by mobs at night :D
