Work with this cable http://www.ebuyer.com/265982-startech-com-dvi-i-analog-to-2x-vga-video-splitter-cable-dvispl1vv

To display the same image on two of these monitors: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/280625

Should do

but I'd personally buy two different cables (DVI-I to VGA) so if you wished you could extend it across both screens in future instead of being stuck with a mirror. (Fairly sure most splitters fail when it comes to anything other than mirroring, but never used them so not 100% :P)

I'm having a projector on the mini-HDMI though, so can't utilise both the DVI ports (AFAIK). It's for a two-seater cockpit, so the screens just need to show the same display as they'll be the instruments

I thought it was for this when I read the OP, How is it coming along, any photos?!

Also, it should work fine, you could however just buy some DVI Monitors.

Also, if its for instruments alone, why not get some small 12" Monitors for them, would fit nice in the cockpit?

I would personally go AMD if you want extra displays, it'll increase flexibility down the line.

No photos as of yet, projector installed, curved screen is leaving germany rather soon, the computer is being ordered this weekend (if the cheque clears in time!). The screens are gonna be Garmin G1000s, so need the bigger display :')

I'm clueless about AMD graphic cards, what's the best I can get for around £150 max?

Take some photos then :P

Would agree with the AMD, You can get I think its something like 6 screens running from one GPU.

Something like this;

You will want it to have ATI Eyefinity Technology.

Not available to consumers yet but the technology supports at least 24 screens.
