Hi everyone,

I am really worried about my Twitter account at the moment because I got an e-mail which was a scam saying "Greg James, Katy Perry" etc. have tweeted you. I knew it was a scam obviously. I should have looked at the address it was sent from but it was definitely a really weird url and I think it was @hotmail.co.uk which obviously isn't from Twitter.

I changed my password and e-mail address and I think Twitter has sent me a confirm button but I am hesitant to click it because when I changed my e-mail address before I received two e-mails.

The e-mail has been sent by
[email protected].

Is this actually from Twitter? I have also now protected my tweets and made my address un-viewable on Twitter. Thank you in advance! :)

Update: Never mind everyone, thank you for your help! It turns out the e-mail is a new feature to Twitter, aha so I changed all my details and passwords for nothing. Please could this thread be closed? Thank you everyone for helping tho! :)
