View Full Version : Possible to transfer a contract with T-Mobile
Right just wondering is it possible to transfer my contract with 14 months left over to someone.
Meaning switching it into their name not just them giving me the money each month.
I really cba to ring them again as ive been on the phone to them earlier and they are useless tbh they can never give you a straight answer

Pretty sure you wouldn't be able to. The contract is between you and them you can't just put it in someone elses name :P only thing you could do is give it to someone and get them to pay you

well to do it, you'd have to call them up anyway so surely common sense would dictate that you should call them up anyway, ask them if you can transfer it over to someone else; if yes, then continue to do so (seeing as you're already on the line), if no, then end call :S
You should be able to, assuming you don't have any outstanding charges and the person you're wanting to move it to passes a credit check.

You can;
To do this you must not have any pending extra charges to go onto the next months bill and the current months bill must be paid. The person has to pass a credit check for the FULL contract even though there is only 14 months left :)

That's for T-Mobile USA ;)
As others have said, you both need to pay any outstanding charges, the person you're transferring it to has to pass a full credit check and you should be able to do it just by giving them a call.

Contracts in the UK are non-transferable usually, 'cause I've asked about Orange to T-Mobile before because they're owned by the same company. Unfortunately I was turned down & to buy out of the contract was over £600.
We're not talking about transferring the contract to another provider which would be nonsensical. Also while they are both owned by Everything Everywhere they still trade as separate companies.
