and where would you display such badge?
i think the fact habbo/x haven't done anything for the jubilee sums it up.

In terms of Habbox, it's not that it's not an event we don't care about we just don't use the badge/awards system for that. Other fansites do but Habbox uses the awards system for actual awards more than giving them out due to special events that have happened in real life.

That would have been fantastic haha.

Has there been anything planned for the jubilee? I guess its a little late now haha.

I'm sure there will be lots planned for the olympics though, im sure Habbox could embrace that and put on some really good events and stuff whilst the opportunity is here haha.

Oh and for the people saying about it belonging in feedback- I've moved it here, but next time if you report it, it will be moved much quicker :P (because you are right, threads like this should be in the public feedback section).

An Olympic theme for HxSS would be pretty awesome imo, along with Olympic Donator.

Why aren't Habbox making use of such events? Running big things around weekends like this in the past have proven ridiculously popular, why not make use of this for the jubilee?

I'd seriously love olympic things this year!! It's a really good theme seeing as it is worldwide and therefore involves all nationalities on our little corner of the internet!

I was sort of expecting something for the jubilee but like i said above, we do have diverse members and it only really is relevant to uk/(i guess australia) etc.

As we're one of few (moronic) mainstream countries to have a monarchy everyone loves it, the diversity argument is crap.

With it being bank holidays and half term (I think?) I woulda thought there could have been something big organised, could have had a big weekend of fun or something surely haha. That being said I'm sure there will be loads planned for the olympics and I'm sure it will be a really big boost for the site and forum if we do something big for an event which really is worldwide and rather popular. There is a LOT that could be done with that and I look forwards to seeing whats come up with and im sure it will be great! I think the forum especially really needs some kind of boost (definitely not a posting competition). That being said there are quite a few departments that could embrace things like that and do something a bit different. I guess its quite nice to ebrace these events when they come along I guess- any excuse for a party haha. Street parties up and down the country, maybe we could have had our own woo!

Can guarantee there was a global audience watching the pageant yesterday, the point is the jubilee is a great excuse for Habbox to do big events - it hasn't. Jin used to insist there were big events/something big every month... just doesn't seem to happen any more.

Very good point there. And you wonder why people don't seem to be interested... like i said before, i did expect something in all honesty (but didn't mind seeing as i was away and didnt miss out ;))

I was shocked myself when I heard nothing was being done for the jubilee. Loads of events could of taken place, especially the bank holiday and half term we have now. I am sure I read somewhere that 5 billion people are going to be watching something related the the jubilee. The queen isn't just the queen for the Uk but also other countries as well that are on .com hotel and also she's head of the commonwealth and that's quite a few countries. Something should of been done IMO :(

Its estimated 5 billion people will be watching the concert which is on in 15 mins, that's a hell of a lot of people

This is what I was saying when I was talking about things like forum events etc. in a previous thread. To keep Habbox going, new people interested and current members happy and grounded, there needs to be big events on a monthly, bi-monthly basis. I honestly don't remember when we last did a big event.

Olympics seems to be going well, but that's still a few weeks off for Habbox.

All fair and good if the olympics go well but it's worth capitalising on everything when the site seems this quiet! Quite upsetting really.

Yeah, I'm watching it wooo!!

It is a bit of a shame, would have been a good opportunity I think to bring the community together with something patriotic and well celebrated. I wanted a habbox street party because I hate going to real parties haha. :(

Bank holidays always used to be a key focus for ensuring a really strong week of events, you gain extra visitors during the day and its important to get them involved somehow. Theres more time for staff, more time for visitors and members and its just generally a good time to focus on big events.

As Oli said, Jin always reminded us to try and do something as often as possible, to keep things interesting I guess. Keep members visiting and getting new ones signing up. We need more Habbo presence overall and more forumy stuff. Passion needs to be put in to get the rewards and get the place buzzing. New things could be tried, and basic stuff needs to be maintained. Big events that only happen once in a while should be celebrated in some way I guess, when everyone is talking about them etc.

I also agree with Oli that its no good waiting, when things go quiet its not a good sign and you can't guarantee that everything will still be the same in a couple of months time. I'm sure the olympics will be great however since there is SO MUCH that can be done for that, it offers so many opportunities.

Well in all honesty I haven't been one to understand what the jubilee hype is until tonight - tonight I became excited and just like the Eurovision the other week I could have at least done a News competition about it. However, with the current state of Habbox I'm sure that wouldn't have been a good idea. Although the Olympics may be a few weeks away, I think it could still work wonders for Habbox as a whole.

Fine, boohoo we missed the Jubilee celebrations, but rather than playing Captain Hindsight how about suggesting things for the future?

I think some planning needs to go into these events so whilst the Olympics is a while away it'd be a shame to sort it all out the week before so really ideas should start to be pooled now.

Essentially, the jubilee is bad timing. I think it'll become clearer soon why nothing big was done for the Jubilee and I can't really go into details about that now so will go into more detail when that is announced. :)

Just how difficult is it to throw a party, involve HxL, and have a Jubilee Jive, with questions on the Monarchy and a few prizes?

Whilst from what I hear the plans for the olympics are meant to be fantastic which is great, but things like this shouldn't be missed - like Alice said it's not hard to throw something together and I think it's a lesson that should be learned for the future.

Efforts have been made to organise a "street" party with HxL at the helm but sadly this was rushed and a last minute thing so its still in that organising stage because the original plan for June was different and also had to be changed at the last minute, again details of which I can't go into right now but will gladly do so at the appropriate time.

Despite that, I confess that I had no idea half term was this week (its very late this year isnt it :P) as its normally in May so there is still time for something to be done.
