Title says it all. Where do you use your laptop / PC and do you leave it on when you're not using it? Does it overheat on the bed if you use it there? Also, where do you put your laptop if you're not using it. Lots of questions just interested :D

I usually use my laptop on my desk - espeically at uni it pretty much stays there. At home, when I decide to be sociable, I'll go downstairs and actually have it on my lap while I sit on the sofa or my beanbag. At night, I lay in bed and have my laptop balancing on it's side so it's the wrong way up (so i can see it laying down) while i watch a bit of tv, having it horizontal on my bed makes it overheat! When I'm going to sleep i put it on the floor with a blanket covering the power light ;)
Overheating wise, my laptop has this superefficient fan (really noisy) so it doesn't tend to get that hot unless something (like a duvet) is literally covering all the fan.

Most of the time I'm on the sofa while using my laptop and I usually leave it on all day, even though the startup time is short. I only turn it of at nights. When it's off it's usually on a table or on the floor.
My laptop never overheats, since I never put it directly on my lap or on the bed. I did that with my last computer and it completely destroyed the fan. Never doing that mistake again. Using this instead:

In my room
and i turn it off at night as if i kept it on it would light the room up.
Either sit in bed in my room or downstairs on the sofa. I usually just sleep my laptop rather than turn it off and I just set it on the floor at night time!

Usually keep it on. I can't sleep at night anymore without the sound of the PC. I've gotten so used to it, silence just seems awkward.
I use it on my desk more than ever but sometimes i will go upstairs and sit on the lounge and watch TV with it, or i will sit in bed :P but mostly on my desk.
Either sat on my bed using my laptop or at my desk using my computer :)

I use my laptop in my gaming chair, or downstairs if I'm sat with my dad.

pc at my desk
turn it off at night unless im downloading, in which case i turn on auto shutdown.
Don't see much point in leaving it on if im sleeping.

Oh guess I'm the only one who uses a laptop in a kitchen. I tend to do that because I like having a usb mouse. It goes off each night and during the day when not in use. However when I was only at college for an hour I'd put it on sleep.
Sat in my bed or in the living room, it's usually on a tea tray thing with a cushion bit underneath lol

I use my Laptop in the following places: Bed, Sofa, Dining Table, Garden Table, Train, Car, Work, Bathroom that's all I can think of off the top of my head.
I leave it on sometimes depending what software I have running, 'cause I have some Twitter software & Link Building software's which take a while to run.
