Hey,

Looking at all the things that the new staff team of habbo have done, It seems to me that
throughout the years, and very strongly in these last through months.. Habbo are deleting
their own history?

PLASTO

PIXELS

All of the above are habbo history and all have being deleted or removed from the habbo catalogue or the client/homepage. Whats next...?

They're just updating and moving on, they can't be stuck in the past forever!! I do miss some things though, especially hc and plasto :( :(

Oh well, with most of them people complained about them too. I guess Habbo can't really win can they? :P

I disagree with moving on,

Its great that they are bringing new things in such as furni ranges, events and effects.

But what is the benefit of habbo for deleting these things? I mean really?
Pixels? WHY!? I Dont see the benefit in the removal of any of the things
stated above :( :(

Most of those have been replaced with a different (well pretty much rebranded) service. Mark my words, a system similar to pixels will be introduced within a year of removal.

Every website has to move on or it gets outdated - you could say volter removal was the worst idea in the world but look at screenshots today vs. 5 years ago, it looks much more modern. It's like when people complain about Facebook Timeline, then realise some things have to be updated.

Nostalgia really wouldn't have a definition if they didn't get rid of some things, and in all honesty, I believe they remove things like Plasto and Pixels so people spend a lot of credits buying what's left, so they profit. But they also help the market, as since Plasto has been removed prices have gone up, which is good for traders I guess.

You say it's good they're bringing in new things, but if they left the old things AND brought in new things, there would just be far too many items available which makes the game far more complex than it set out to be.

I wouldn't put pixels in the category of history, they're really pointless

from a company point of view, removing pixels is great for them, they probably realise that letting people trial furni with an unlimited supply of pixels wasn't such a good idea, so let's just give them a starter room filled with a bunch of pixel furni that they can't get more of.

they want to crack down on people making rooms with only pixel stuff.

HOWEVER we don't know what the future holds for us, they might start making certain achievement furni, or achievement points, or whatever they might call it.

You do know like it was mentioned, Habbo has to move on. They won't stay in the same spot forever. Everything changes and they have to do updates like every site does.

Cant really expand on this.
I despise threads like this, everyone would moan so bad if we were still stuck in 03.
Every update we've had has been for the best IMO, move on please :/

I moved on ;) It's good they are updating and I don't really care what Habbo does anyways. We cannot do anything about it anyways.

I think we should let go of the past for more new and exciting.

Many people have stated it has to move on, things will *hopefully* get a better upgrade. It's just to keep it new and fresh tbh.

Deleting Pixels isn't really going to make much of an effect. Pixels have only been around for a few years & not many people use the pixel furni. Also there have been thousands of less people on habbo for the past half a year or so now, so it's good for a change & see where it goes.

imo, i like change. It makes the game feel new, as if i just started again :P

Everything has to move on. I've argued against this many times but at the end of the day if you change things everything will be just stuck the same and become outdated. In order to make a new system you need to delete the old I suppose?

Pixels aren't really history, but the rest is.

I wouldn't say they're deleting their history I'd just say they're moving on. They're just updating as every game or application like Habbo needs to do. If that means removing the old to make way for the new then so be it.

Don't get me wrong though I do miss the old habbo :(

lol, my dear, i don't think it's fair to call pixels 'habbo history'. habbo club isn't gone, it's just updated with a more generic name — it's not like they got rid of it. removing the bobba filter is removing history, i agree. they've had that trademarked almost as long as 'habbo' itself. the infobus is great but it was never really effective in its sponsorships. the appeal was being one of the few to get to sit in the bus while some mousy worker for the sponsor tells you about starving children or why not to text your privates to your ebf. i'd say removing competitions — the kind that really came to head around callie's era — that is erasing habbo history. favouritism or not, i had a lot more fun entering those than buying as many horse accessories as i can so that habbo will donate a pittance to 'a horse charity'. the removal of plasto is also removing history but it was done strictly from a financial point of view. more money was spent on buying plasto furniture in its last days than likely was spent on it in the past year. it was historical but deadpan. i can remember even a year or two after '01 or '02 furni shops strictly banning any plasto offers. no one valued it minus, say, the pod.

Ye I agree certain stuff has to move on, and removal of plasto if anything was rediculously late, but have to say large change is never good Nd they neeeda be more subtle, just look at combat realtor on rs atm and you will see the adverse effects of massive change. But yea no point living in the past, habbo is digging themselves a massive grave atm anyway so doubt they will be around much longer.
