Could someone explain the song meaning or else I'm only going to see this video as a bit random. I like how she uses different videos like at the beginning and the end. I've loved this song since I heard it god knows when back.

I really like the song and the video! The only part in the video I thought was weird was when the little girl slammed her foot down, the monstery things went and then, for some reason, Katy Perry took off her jacket and starting running with the girl? All because she just slammed her foot she got better :(.

This video is to symbolise the end of the Teenage Dream era, cry cry cry.
And it's like, all the things that happened during the Teenage Dream era etc, like, the Prince Charming bit is a direct dig at Russell I'm guessing.. And how Katy's not really a fan of fame anymore, and all the problems that come with it, etc, like paparazzi and stuff, and she's saying she gets that now, and the girl is like, if she could do it all again.. Would she do it differently, etc, as it's her, obv.

Love the song though, the video is fab, she looks so sexy.

Love the song and video of course, loved the TD era but I'm glad it's coming to a close now as it's dragged on far too long. Looking forward to her supposed dark era that's coming up next. Hopefully WA will do well on the charts etc, it's doing pretty well in the US so hopefully it can get similar success elsewhere (yn)

The way I see it is that Katy Perry in the video has gained a sense of awareness and has finally seen through her childhood naivity as represented by the child Katy Perry. She's "not blind anymore"; she stomps and the creatures that was blocking her path and every other obstacle are now clear of her path, she is free to move on. When Katy Perry sees her prince charming and punches him she may be showing awareness that love isn't all fairy tales and that she won't live all happily ever after just like that. She's wide awake, she sees life for what it really is, she understands that life isn't all California dreaming and that that kind of life is more of a teenage dream than reality. There may be many obstacles in the way but she is now wide awake and ready to tackle them.

That's my lame analysis and only my own personal interpretation, I may be completely wrong haha
