I don't think it was anyone's idea. I think it just came with the new search system that got added a few days back.

Yeah, it came with the new search system which added a few other bits and pieces around the forum too :P It's supposed to look a lot neater than that, but I haven't got around to fixing it yet lol

From what I gather the current time-scale for skin/appearance related bugs is sometime after Version 9 :P
