I've just tried to sign into msn using version 2009 and I've been told that I need to upgrade to a newer version to continue. Is there any way around this or will I have to upgrade?
Has anyone else had this problem?

The new msn version isn't worst (like skype's) so you won't lose much by upgrading it.

She's lying the new version sucks according to literally all sources, what you wanna do is right click > properties > compatibility > run in compatibility mode for Windows XP and since you can't get the new version on XP it won't make you update

I've actually had no problems with it but whatever floats their boat.

2009 Build 14.0.8117.416

Yeah I have no idea what that means either, but the newer one that you get for Vista and 7 and whatever is the one that forces your screen name to just be your email name and looks ugly

I use it but I dislike the name thing that someone has mentioned. Also appears they may have focused on social networking too much. Is the new one out? I heard there planning a new one for Windows 8 but removing the live brand
