From my 3-year Computer Science Degree.

65.60% - 2:1 overall :D

I'm so happy! I was a complete failure at school, I actually got kicked out of school for no attendance for three months. I was a complete ****. The staff at my school didn't care, it was an awful school. My head mitress said to me in private "I hope you enjoy the rest of your life working in McDonalds". This is why I'm so elated at my result that I've finally made myself proud for once and not just been a complete **** up.

Well done man! I would love to do Computer Science at uni, what A levels did you take, did they prepare you for it and how difficult is it at degree level?

Sorry if I seem a bit of a bother I just like meeting Comp Sci majors.

I did the BTEC National Diploma in Computing and got a Triple Distinction (apparently equivalent to AAA at a level) but it really isn't, they just tell you that. A levels are harder than college courses. Nothing really can prepare you unless you're doing a course where higher-level programming languages are involved (c++, java). My course mainly focused on the art of software development, construction of the software, business side, usability and stuff and computer mathematics :)

and thank you for the well done :)

i know how you feel i wasn't good at anything at school and hardly went so no-one believed in me, it's a great feeling to prove you can do it to others but also to yourself :)

Congrats, good to see your teacher's harsh words didn't send you on a downward spiral like it could've done and instead you proved her wrong :D

Congratulations. You've proved to everyone but more importantly to yourself that hard work and determination does have it's rewards. Really well done :)

I wouldn't change a thing I did though. If I hadn't have been rejected by sixth form at my school I wouldn't have gone to college and likely wouldn't have gotten anywhere. I always work my arse off though so I shouldn't really be surprised at the result but I kinda am lol

Many congratulations Zak! I'm pleased to hear you stood up to the challenge, and what a result eh? :)

Big challenge as I'm really not that clever (esp compared to some people on here!). Programming was really hard to learn for me and the maths side because I hadn't even learnt basic Algebra at school so I had to start from the basics.

I always try my best and work hard and despite me thinking I'm unbelievably unlucky I managed to finish, though I had no doubts that i would I also wanted a 2:1.

Coventry University :)
