18+ Forum

Hey I was wondering if we should have an 18+forum bit for us 'older' users? Not to sure what would be allowed in this forum idea? or that it will work.. just an idea.

Thoughts?

Although I am under 18, i still feel this could work - dont doubt the idea.


However it may be hard to get up and running - i think it would be a nice little addition to the site!

I doubt it would work firstly because people would lie and secondly because of what just went down with c4 and habbo and this is supposed to be a habbo fansite :P

I always thought it could work. Its annoying as hell because you can't post content that at your age is acceptable but at the same time you need to take into consideration that the forum was originally made for children. Besides, if there was an 18+ forum I reckon there would be only 4 or 5 users that would actually use it.

Maybe have a system inplace to prove a persons age, like they have to show a passport or something along them lines?

That would be asking for personal information which is against the habbo way and as far as I know fansites need to abide by the habbo way.

Ah quite a good point. I slightly forget sometimes this is a habbo fansite lol.

Showing a passport online to someone would be pretty risky and most people wouldn't really bother anyway. I'm not 18+ but I still can't really see it being used properly.. Especially as this is a Habbo fansite and should be available to all Habbos.

There's not much point in an 18+ section really imo, what would be discussed in there that hasn't been posted elsewhere before? I think a few people have brought this idea about but it's just too easy to lie about your age, and if we started sectioning off the forum that's just encouraging gangs (in a way) and annoyed under18s feel like they're excluded.
