Do you think Jelly bean with be released both for the Galaxy S2/S3 or will the s2 either not receive it or have it delayed in the hope people will more to the s3?

Doesn't look too bad, but I think I'll stick with Apple for now :D

Jelly Bean is really tempting me to flash my phone. I do love Sense 4, but Jelly Bean looks so pretty

I'm sure someone over at XDA will make a sense jelly bean ROM for your phone.

The Nexus 7 looks interesting but they said you can watch films "edge to edge" on the screen, and as the video clearly shows that's not true it sort of put me off.

UK page for it:

https://play.google.com/store/devices/details?id=nexus_7_8gb

8GB: £159.00

16GB: £199.00

Seems like it's a device to compete with the Kindle Fire for sure? Amazon haven't even released that in the UK yet. (I don't believe)

Definitely a Fire competitor... Both it's physical and storage sizes don't really give it much of a chance in the same market as the iPad or ASUS Transformer series.

There are no words to describe how tempted I am to buy one, but I have absolutely no reason to buy one

When I saw the Nexus 7 and the price point I immediately was suspicious that they were selling that guy at a net loss / not to make a profit. Sure enough that is what they're doing (http://www.bgr.com/2012/06/28/nexus-7-sales-profit-cost-google-android/). Whether that's to prepare for the market share they'll lose from Surface, to cut into Apple share or both I don't know. Either way what I know is that I bet Microsoft wont sell the Surface to make a profit either, but instead will want to gain market share fast by selling cheap, too. So not only will Android v. Windows. v iOS competition be beneficial for forcing the big three to improve software, but hopefully it's going to mean we're going to see a slew of cheaper tablets, maybe even a cheaper iPad.

There seem to be a few rumours going around of a smaller iPad in the $199-299 range (only quickly glanced at the title, but it was quite low). Quite a few Apple rumours seem to point toward smaller iPads, or larger iPhones.

Very interesting. These three companies are making the industry very nice for us consumers :)
