Do you accept random friend requests?

Do you accept random friend requests on Facebook?

I look at their profile first and see if I have any mutual friends. If they look decent then I'll accept them otherwise I just ignore them. If they have a cartoon dp or picture of say an animal or car then it's an instant ignore as well.

I know a few people who just accept anyone, and I know people who will add anyone they ever meet which is a bit ridiculous.

i always get random adds and decline them unless i know them or have met them

Nah not really if their profiles fully private without mutual friends and an odd dp I won't accept. If I know thename or think i do then i will.

If they have no mutual friends and I've never heard of them/met them then probably not.

If I have more than 5 mutual friends then I accept even if I have never heard of them. I think if they have sent me a request then surely they've seen me around school/heard of me, otherwise they wouldn't of added me.

When I first joined facebook I accepted everyone, but nowadays not so much. It depends on if I know them very well and they don't live in Ireland, I will accept them, if I don't know them at all and have no mutual friends, it'll be ignored, if they live in Waterford with mutual friends, they'll be accepted. Generally I don't get completely random adds, unless it's like a foreign name, then it'll be ignored. I've only accepted one of those and just had to block them completely afterwards...

I've got a request from a random old Asian guy with 8 mutual friends. I did a bit of stalking and realised he's just a complete stranger adding me and my friends ... so you shouldn't rely just on 5+ mutual friends as a decider.

I get added by random people quite a bit. I only accept if I know them personally, seen them around, or if they have enough mutual friends and I'm familiar with their name.

I only accept people I know. even if they have tonnes of mutual friends I'm like... why are you adding me I don't know you. I never accepted people in like younger years at school unless I had actually talked to them.

If I'm on a night out and I drunkenly tell someone to add me on facebook, I usually accept them on my phone and then in the morning delete them unless they've got urm........ prospects.

Pretty much never. If I get a FR, I stalk their profile as much as possible before I decide. Even if I do accept a request, I don't keep many people around as I clear my friends list often.

I do have a profile for Perfected that I'll add pretty much anyone to - as long as they're a Habbo player.

no i only add friends that i know or people that i've talked to irl. A few of them are friends that i met online or hxl. i've seen somebody from my school who has like 3k friends on facebook which is ridiculous. the only reason they have so much friends is because they want more likes for their pictures and status.

I don't have Facebook any more but when I did I got loads of requests from people I didn't know and I never really added them back unless there was a large amount of mutual friends, because then I would just assume that I knew them... then I usually found out I didn't and deleted them soon after. :P

Once I was backpacking and met someone. I asked him for a copy of a photo he took of me, and he refused to let me put his SD card in his computer, saying that he might have gotten a virus. OK fair enough, even though I use linux. He then said to me "add me on facebook, I will send it to you there". So I added him. The next day he left and I found he deleted me on facebook wtf. Why add me if you will just delete me after you leave? I obviously said nothing to annoy him or had anything offensive on my facebook. He just told me to add him onto facebook then he deleted me the second he left. Haha if I wasn't so secure in myself (and I am not arrogant, trust me) I would have thought I was to blame and not that he was just strange. Just why on earth would he have offered to add me in the first place. Oh and I never got to get that picture :(

I don't really use facebook all that often anymore tbh, i only have one because i have friends that don't live where i am so its easier to keep in contact but i wont ever accept anyone I don't know, if i dont know them i usually send a message first asking who they are 'cause knowing me i might've just forgotten the name haha.

I only really accept random adds on tumblr or habbo.
