I know many of you won't say this isn't news, but it actually is to anyone who's been a part of Habbo for the past 3-4 years, As ClubHabbo in my eyes has been a big rival to Habbox untill they decided a website wasn't needed. Now their forum is dead Ryan / SkaterChu has posted this;

tbh it feels like theres nothing else to do but close it, cause to be blunt i don't have any interest in having a habbo fansite, and thats probably part of the reason i dont visit here much or care, cause i dont care about habbo fansites.

then again im not gonna do what totalgoss did and rebrand and try to appeal to new people. i mean theres always the option of killing off the clubhabbo name, and just keeping a non-habbo forum that's relaxed and laid back, with just the same few people posting to each other, like a bandwagon 2 or something lol id probably visit here and care about it alot more if it wasnt a habbo site and i was friends with people ;l

There will always be sites that will be and wont be. But I agree in a strange way I'm glad habbox is sorter stricted.

Haha, does he want to remind us just one more time that he's a big boy now and moved on from Habbo? :P I found some of the discussions on CH just absolutely disgusting and I don't think it was a very good site in the slightest. I know you can expect egotistical hormonal teenagers at all fansites, but CH seemed to attract sexually frustrated preteens more than anything. Pretty unnerving and I'm glad we can rely on Habbox to set the standard. Well, I wouldn't be here if they didn't.

Habbox is actually pretty strong, other than how poor the website is at the moment. Still the forum is pretty strong

Well I suppose we all knew it was coming, HFFM/TotalGloss aren't doing well at the moment either but they did a re-brand altogether.

Not going to lie, i'd personally be much more inclined to tell my friends to join Habbox (Lets just call it that for now) if it was non-habbo, plus i'd most likely use it more. Heck i'd use it more if you purchased the vBulletin mobile suite but thats dreaming eh!? But the real problem totalcrapgoss had was they have no way to pull new members in, so they are stuck with old members. Which means no potential way of expanding.

Well it could go either way for Habbox if it ever went into that stage. But I don't see Habbox doing that unless Habbo disappeared for good really.

I used to browse the Development/Coding sections on ClubHabbo a while ago because they actually contained some interesting discussions, and the Development section on here is dead but I stopped because of all the trolls posting in those sections.

aww shame to see them go if they do. I know its kind of weird but it just feels strange when fansites (especially long standing ones such as clubhabbo) kind of fizzle out. Its a shame how fansites just dont seem to be what they used to be and that big community feel has just got weaker and weaker. I guess its not the fansites fault but just the way things have turned out. Habbo itself isn't really as strong in my view either as it was.

I was a member of a fansite that turned into a 'teen forum' but you sacrifice your identity and source of advertising that way so it tends to be the final nail in the coffin when it happens. I had a few jobs over there but never really connected with anyone. Still a shame if it does go though.

It was bound to happen. The only fansite I ever really cared about when it closed was Habbos.co.uk, it was the perfect Habbo fansite. All other fansites were all too similar e.g. a forum seperate to the main site using vbulletin, virtually no extreme integration while most of habbos.co.uk was unique - the forums/message boards, the award systems...

This is a shoulder shrug situation. This stuff happens, it had no unique features.
