Yeah i remember this last year. theres been more cases of it too, they die and the dogs wont leave them.

What you have to remember is they train them dogs from really young and have a bond with them that others cant match, not to mention its stronger because the soldiers see the dog as a fellow worker and teammate. so the dog is likely to see it as the same imo.
