I haven't got any college classes until September and I'm so freaking bored >____< I'm looking for a retail job but no luck.

I had a job centre appointment today and I realised just how dull and boring my life is when the guy asked me what I do throughout the day.

An average day is waking up at 12pm, having a bath, watching youtube videos, going on Facebook, posting on forums, playing The Sims 3, doing cross word puzzles (seriously, how bored am I?) and sleeping. If I'm lucky I may go to town and go shopping -____-

I was thinking of going to an evening class in the community centre for a few weeks but they consist of learning Welsh (which I wouldn't enjoy) or I.C.T. (which would be a barrel of laughs because they would teach me things I already know, like how to send an e-mail -____-)

My friends live about 5/6 miles away from me so I only see them once/twice a week/fortnight.

What should I do which involves me getting out of this house before I get cabin fever?

I can't ride a bike :') Funnily enough I asked my friend to teach me how to ride one a few days ago and he said possibly. I suppose I could learn how to ride and do that for a while. The weather has been ridiculous these past few days, it's July and won't stop raining.

Nice avatar btw :P

Yeah same here what I've found is that I finished my English Language classes in April, my Media classes in May and I had theory work in ICT which I love anyway but I was bored in general as I missed writing and stuff in English - hence News allows me to write so cures my boredom, same with content. In all honesty you could try apply for a job on Habbox (lmao) just as a put on but have a life as well if you get me? It seems weird but it's gave me motivation to do other things. I'm looking for a job too so you never know, if not then see what events your town has like a Gala and maybe go to them just to get yourself out for a bit. Maybe have a walk go to the cinema?

I'm in the exact same position as you. I have no classes until September and have the same type of day like you, even though my friends are all in my area it's still pretty boring because there's nothing to do here.

As for learning Welsh, I think you're better off looking into a more popular language such as Spanish or Italian which would actually be useful to you if you go abroad. I'm from South Wales, and I've not heard anyone speak Welsh around here besides from Welsh teachers, and the few businesses that support it.

If you already know enough about I.C.T then why not offer to support the classes there? I understand teaching isn't that fun (in my opinion anyway) but it's something to do and it would go well on your C.V if you do it for the summer.

I live in South Wales too :P I agree, I'd much prefer to learn Spanish but nobody seems to teach it. Hmmmm, I could ask if they'd like any help in the I.T. classes.

Thanks :)

Challenge yourself to learning something you've never done before. Or look for work experience depending on what your ambitions are.

**** off

You could just teach yourself things rather than rely on any sort of classes.

You're about as funny as genocide. I am not plaguing this thread any further by replying to you.

Thanks :)Ooh! There's train stations in pretty much most locations around here, and it's cheap (whenever I go on them anyway) so maybe you could catch a train to wherever your friends live and stay there for a few days? And now that it's summer you could organise a meetup with your friends to go camping somewhere that you can all get to for a weekend? Either in your area, theirs or somewhere like the Gower.

You could even take up a new hobby such as Photography or something for the summer?

I was in this position for nearly a whole year. September last year until up to about June this year. I absolutely hated it, it's just one of those things. I'm going back to College in September so I have that to look forward to and then University next September. Luckily I got a job last month which has kept me pretty busy and I actually feel like I have a purpose now haha. Before I had a job I was volunteering (still am actually) on the maternity ward at the hospital really do enjoy it and it made me less bored when I didn't have a real job, also employers love volunteers if you brag about it ;). But yeah, keep trying to find yourself a job just apply for EVERYTHING you see which you think is suitable even if you don't want it. Apply for it anyway.

Try to do something that you haven't had time for recently, i.e. read a book, go to the cinema, go swimming etc. I've got 6 weeks off from school and I'm bored as well, at the moment I'm doing the same as you more or less: wake up at 11:30-12:30, have breakfast, watch some youtube videos, have a shower, go on my PS3/go on my laptop, walk the dogs, watch tv and then go to sleep.

A way to stop yourself just doing random stuff all day is to plan everything the day before.

EXAMPLE DAY:
10:30: Wake up
10:35: Have breakfast
10:45: Have a shower
11:15: Go for a walk around the block, pick up some milk from the shop.
11:15: Return home and look for job vacancies in local area.
Etc.

Hope this helped :)
