I'm on 120mb/s and when I do speed tests it does say I recieve those speeds but when I try to load a youtube video at the lowest settings I'm waiting a good 4/5mins for it to load. I rang up my service provider and although he was just trying to help he was giving be a load of **** that wouldn't help, he told me to reboot my entire desktop to factory settings because disk space might be a problem lol I'm there telling him I have 2tb and I am using like 8% of that yet he still believes that's where the problem lies.
What annoys me the most is the service provider tried to upgrade me from 100mb to 120 and in the process something messed up and now the connection is ridiculous. I asked could they send someone out and they said that wouldn't help. They basically told me 'good luck and bye' which is a terrible way to treat your customers. Enough of my rant, it could be a problem on my end and I'm here complaining about their support :P
I'm currently running google chrome. Has anyone else been experiencing technical difficulties with youtube or have any solutions?

From previous experience these are the things i done to fix it
1. Reset wireless router to factory setting as if it was brand new lut of the box
2. How many people use it?
3. Check the settings on router some pcs cant handle certain routers that well
4. Wireless router might be breaking mine did
5. Does it takes ages to load other things? If no then something to do with youtube
There the things i done and it works great much better now

1. Tried
2. 2
3. It worked perfectly fine before the update but they're arguing that isn't the fault :P Coincidence? I don't believe that for a second
4. Perhaps but he said everything is running smoothly
5. I wouldn't say long but about a 1/2 second delay sometimes (which isn't that bad, so I shouldn't really complain). The problem mainly is when downloading, it's strange because I can download through utorrent no bother but when I listen to radios, videos, movies, live streams, they all buffer and that shouldn't happen with my connection speed. I'm actually get 130mb/s atm but youtube videos take ages to load at the lowest settings, its strange.

I think it might have been a problem with a port. I had a port opened and just closed it to see if it would make a difference and so far so good but only time will tell.

Youtube and Virgin Media have had issues since day one. I'm on the 100MB and youtube takes ages to buffer on 1080p.
There is nothing you can do.

I'm on 10MB, and 1080p videos load instantly for me :P
It all depends on your area and the area connection, also plus the fact in almost every area the server can't cope with the traffic and is overloaded, and this speed doubling isn't going to help the issue at all.

Virgin Media always had problems with YouTube, in part (I believe) due to their stupid caching proxies between you guys and the internet.

The problem is, it isn't only youtube. Any type of media, radio, videos and sometimes even pictures take long to load.

My phone isn't decent enough to have wifi :P and yeah UPC and Virgin are completely different companys.

Right now pages are taking about 4/5 seconds to load. Pages with more images can be even longer but when I do a speedtest I'm getting 130mb/s surely something must be interfering the connection.
Try http://www.speed.io/index_en.html, heard it gives a much more true to life speed.

Still slow though. I tried other browsers and it's the exact same.
