Well, deliveries I just round it up, so for example if it's £14.75 I'd give 'em £15 and say keep the change :P

Never use taxis and I don't in bars, no.

Delivery - If it's like £9 and I use a tenner I'll let them keep it :)
Taxi - Never take them
Restaurant - Last time, I tipped £15 :)

We gave the gas man a tip the other day, he wouldn't take it but eventually he did and gave us a plug socket in return.

Sometimes if it's like 99p I'll say keep the change but that's usually because I don't have anymore and this is usually at college and it's dear enough as it is :P.

I tip in cafes sometimes though.

i always tip taxi drivers when im drunk lol ive tipped more than the actual journey quite often
+ i don't tip waiters (i'm never the one paying anyway), i leave my number instead if im drunk
but same as skynus said, everytime i pay for something im too lazy to wait for change and feel stingy so i always tell them to keep the change. (obv not if its a lot..)

Depends on the service and if the waiters are nice!
I usually do anyway as I hand over eg £5 for a £4.50 brekky or something at a cafe and say keep the change.

No, I demand my change back even if it is just a penny. The one time I tipped for what could only be said was a mediocre service I felt dirty. I sometimes moan at others for tipping if it was a really poor service.

always always tip if it's a sit down waitered service
so like in restaurants, some cafes
occasionally when service is really really terrible then I don't but that's rare

sometimes I tip in like cafe nero and starbucks if the staff are friendly and chatty

Never tbh :( My friend went to the USA and the waiter chased her out of a café shouting "ma'am you forgot to leave a tip!!!" and she was all confused. But apparently that's how they do things in America :(

Edit: actually wait. I tipped a waiter 1p once because he was so awful and I wanted to embarrass him. I felt mean but he was horrible so it was his fault ok

Guess it's a cultural thing in the UK not to tip quite as much, but in North America we always tip. Taxis, restaurants, deliveries, all get tips generally. I always give the pizza deliveryman about a 20% tip, same for restaurants.

Delivery - Nope
Taxis - Not been in one in years
Restaurants - Only in America

I think it's because the wage in the USA is less, so staff usually rely on tips to actually make a living. In the UK people are generally paid well enough to not need tips to survive so their importance is lesser.

No i dont tip. it's not a part of the culture in Malaysia and they have these government tax and service charge so i dont think they need tipping they could just get it from the addition service charge.

If the bill comes to 18 quid ish, i'll leave a 20 and be done with it, but most of the time I don't tip. When I'm older I probably will, but I just dont have the extra money atm :P

What's wrong with not tipping?

I just thought that it was a given when someone has waited on you, good manners and polite and that

depends how i feel about the service really, only really in restaurants tho.
for example i did NOT tip last time (and only time cos im never goin back) i went to jamie's italian, the food was bland, boring and overpriced as it is. however i went to zizzi and the food was lovely (take note JAMIE) and left a good tip :) x

Bit of a twist on the phrase but, good manners cost nothing. Anyway I always saw it as it being their job, they get paid for it. I would only tip to someone going above and beyond their call of duty.
